901 Passthroughs Defective?

I just received 2 new 901 usb passthroughs from HeavenGifts (Stainless Manual Orange/Green led). These are my first passthroughs (been vaping 27 days) and they both don't produce as much vapor as my batteries! (Autos & new manuals) I thought passthroughs were supposed to be constant full power and better vapor production? These seem like what i get from a battery right before it needs charged.

Hmm thanks Framitz! I do have alot of usb devices plugged into my computer. I also have 2 usb wall warts that i use to connect usb battery chargers to but they wont even light the passthrough up (flashes green when i connect them, but wont light orange when i press the button).
They are rated 5vdc 500mA output  +-50mA +-.5v should be plenty / work right? I thought that was USB standard.

I know that the USB chargers won't give you an adequate charge if you plug into a USB hub, and earlier today I looked at one of those 'wall wart' things on one of the suppliers' sites and it said NOT to use it with a USB passthru.

I have a 901 USB manual passthru, and I get plenty of vapor with it, BUT, when I sit down at the computer and the atomizer is at room temperature, I press my button to heat the atomizer for 2-3 seconds first, then start inhaling. After that, it stays vaping great vapor until I stop vaping for at least half an hour.

Similarly, with my auto battery, when I switch to that, I usually have to go through a few 'primer puffs' until everything heats up again so that I get good vapor.

I've had the button 'stick on' sometimes, usually not keeping the LED light lit, and the atomizer gets so hot the juice starts to boil out of the atomizer. Some of my cartridges melted.

But I only had that problem the first two days - not at all in the past week. What I'm doing differently now is that whenever I'm going to put the ecig down even for a few seconds, I slightly unscrew the atomizer so it's not getting electricity even if it's stuck 'on' without the LED light. Then, when I pick it back up, I feel if the atomizer is 'extra hot', and wait a few more seconds for it to cool down a little, then screw the atomizer on all the way, and vape again.

My first passthru was definitely defective - it worked for about an hour and then stopped working, no matter which computer or which USB outlet I plugged it into. I emailed the supplier, and he sent me a new one express mail without waiting for me to send the bad one back. So I was without the USB passthru from around 8:00 pm Friday night until around 11:30 am Saturday.

Good luck with getting yours to work reliably!
