I've read about the DSE901 doing a self cleaning in a few posts. Does anyone know how it knows when to do it and how to defeat it? My batteries have been doing funky things here lately (activating by themselves for no apparent reason). At first I thought they might be getting clogged with eliquid, but now I'm not so sure.............Also - does anyone have a good way of cleaning a battery that has gotten eliquid in it? Thanks.

There is no way to defeat it unless you manage to catch it happening and unscrew it from the atomizer. As to when it happens....

To clean a battery, get a can of this stuff at an auto parts store and squirt some into the hole in the battery. It dries very quick and leaves no residue.

I cleaned 3 batteries with this, 1 - 2 sec squirt and it killed all of the batteries. They will not activate when connected to ANY atomizer but when I suck on the battery real hard it does come on. I took one of these and did a 5 sec squirt to see if it would clear it out and it did not.

Like I said in the PM, I tried it on a well working battery to see if there were any negative affects and there were not. The battery still worked as normal afterwards. This stuff is meant to be used on delicate electronics and the e-cig battery is just that IMO so that's why I tried it. There's no guarantees.
BTW, just curious, if you tried it on one battery and it screwed it up, why would you try it on 2 others. Were these 3 batteries working or not when you started?
