seems he was trying straight 9v, no regulation. also i found this battery... 2c discharge rate, 3a discharge protection.
i will get this working. gotta mess with something while i wait for my pot for the vape bay. need a 9v bat connector though. just threw out some kids walkie talkies not long ago too :( gotta stay away from his rc car remote

I don't think I found a 3.7-4 volt regulator so I never used one. I started out using a 555 timer circuit to pulse the voltage. The problem with that is that the graph line is fairly straight angled and it would manually have to be adjusted back up to proper voltage as the battery got depleted. (You could tell this by physical use of the device) That is annoying and not always an easy task for the common user without a digital readout attached. I believe the circuit I have is at least halving the voltage anyhow but I also think the voltage curve may not be a straight line. I do not have an oscillator or a lot of time to spend on R&D to get the specs of this device. I also don't use e-cigs much anymore either.

I know it works well and lasts at least as long as my Mini-VapeStack with 16340 battery. Both a rechargeable and regular 9 volt seem to last about the same. I recall the circuit working for regular and low resistance attys but I would have to retest to say for sure. I had wanted to license out the idea but got sidetracked with other things.
