First allow me to say hi y'all! I've been ecstatic all week reading about and anticipating my first experience of vaping. As I sit here tapping this out I'm enjoying my first tank. I find it elegant, and the technical aspect and sensory gratification balance has an appeal that speaks to me. One thing though, I can already sense the need to hydrate. Unfortunately I'm always under hydrated.

Here's my question.

The equipment:
Kanger 650 and 1000 EVod, 1000 VV Ego Twist (510 thread)
Kanger T3 and Mini Protank
Kanger USB charging cord with red and green indicator
Kanger 110V plug

The Challenge:
We live on a boat and use 12V sockets to keep our electronics charged (iPhones & laptops). To use the 110V plugs we turn on the inverter, usually 1 hour a day to make coffee. In the interest of enjoying hassle free ADV, I'd rather not have to do daily charging management.

I've read other posts about charging dos and don'ts and unfortunately I'm still confused.

If it's not safe to plug EVod's USB charging cord into the generic USB socket adapter I use to charge my iPhone, IS THERE a 12V USB charging cord, or 12V USB charging adapter THAT IS SAFE to use? I think I've read that neither the battery nor the charging cord does the regulating.

And, is the IPhone brand 110V USB charging plug completely off limits?

I'm looking forward to passing fellow vapers and explaining the magic of vaping to peeps who are curious. I'm glad to meet y'all.

I use a standard wall outlet in my house and the iphone cube to plug my ego charger into it to charge my ego. It works just fine. If you read the back of the cube where the two prongs are it says that the input is 100V-240V and the output is 5V and 1amp so you can use it if you use your inverter for sure. Not sure about the 12v outlet though. If it charges your phone then it should charge your ego as well..

USB voltage is about 5v +\- .25v (non USB 3.0), so look at your charger plug and see what it says for input, should say 5v because it's USB.
Just be smart and when charging keep an eye on it and remove as soon as it is fully charged and you should be good with any USB
