I have been vaping for about one month now and I seem to be having a new benefit from vaping. I have been able to cut back on my allergy pills.

Now, I am a borderline allergy person. I get the runny nose and a little redness in the eyes (not much). I always have to take my 12 hour allergy medicine at night to be able to get through the night, sometimes during the day also, but not much and I use drops in my eyes about twice a day.

I had not noticed in the beginning, but after vaping for about two weeks - when I woke up in the morning I was dry as a bone - to the hurting level. I assumed I was not getting enough water so I increased my levels each day, but it continued. Now that I was paying attention to it - I started noticing that my nose was not having its normal allergy running experience - it was dry all day. So for the last two weeks I have not had to take my allergy medicine and I am doing fine - still need the eye drops, but not the antihistamine stuff. Good news for me.

I guess the drying effect from the PG is doing the antihistamine work and I am not fighting it...

Not to say it will work for everyone, but I figure it is working for me because I am not a hard core allergy person... Just one that has had a slight annoyance with it for a few years. Anybody else had this experience?

You know what, now that you've mentioned it. My allergies used to make my nose stuffy to the point I couldn't breathe out of it. I did notice that after I started vaping for a few months. I've been able to breathe a lot better since I don't have a stuffy nose anymore.

And yes, it is allergies since I'm basically allergic to almost everything. Especially dust.

Great news! Yes, I am one who started having problems with allergies at the age of 21, some years were so bad I couldn't drive or function well. I started smoking at age 11 and transitioned to fully vaping just over a year ago (I am now 37). And recently I noticed that I hadn't taken one allergy pill this year. :D I doubt everyone will have this experience...but I'm happy to share my experience with you. Oh...and I don't use PG...I'm a VG gal. :)

That's cool. I am glad it is not just me and if you have been having results for a year then maybe this will not just be a temporary change. They talk so much how as your body changes to the vaping everything gets adjusted. This is one I do not want to adjust.

Maybe Rolly can add it to his list if enough people chime in. I do not think 3 is enough (lol)...

Oh, and cool Avatar.

Thanks :)
I didn't really think about bringing it up until now because I know that not everyone is the same...but also thought perhaps it might have been an "off" year for allergens. Juniper, Cottonwood, and Scotchbroom are the bane of my existence...never mind harvest time. But, I do find it interesting that I've had no problems this year. Hopefully this is a bigger trend and it can be added to the list of benefits to vaping. Thanks for posting this, Semiretired. :)
