Maybe try get a lil bit of different juice and see if that helps, maybe some with 0 nic to see if its a nicotine problem or something else, and try get some 100% vg based juice just to test that too.
I have a couple of friends that has lock jaw, or tense jaw, tmj or whatever its called. That goes from the jaw, up to the temple and back around the ears and they say that feels like a massive headache. They found some workarounds when vaping, like using a flat driptip, airy atty so they dont have to draw hard etc. However if its like a instant headache i would not think this is the cause, but maybe something to consider.
My first pick would be too high nicotine, specialy if you are vaping sub-ohm. You get a much higher hit from a 0.5 ohm device than a 1.5ohm for example.
In my opinion many people are majorly over nicking themselves when vaping. A regular cig contains around 1.5mg of nic, depending on strength and brand. Then they go to buy a juice that contains maybe 18mg of nicotine pr ml, so vaping 1ml will be approx the same as smoking 8-10 regular cigs. especialy on a low ohm device, 1 ml of juice is gone in no time.
I like to buy 0 nic juice and add nicotine myself, that way i can get the strength i want, and if im going to chainvape, i can for example make 5ml of juice give me the same amount of nic as 1 cig would.
Another thing is the juice flavour gets ruined the more nic thats in it, since nicotin has a harse taste in itself, then again, some people feels they need to taste the nic for it to be worth vaping.
Again this is just my nicotine reasoning, im sure many disagrees with the over nicking part, however it works for me and others have to find out what works for them.
