Thank you Christena, you can see him in my avatar...he's a cutie and a sweetheart, but like Zo, he doesn't want that as his image :D. He was in the Marines for 11 years and he's retiring as a Federal Police officier. Few people really know what an absolute sweetheart he really is, but I do!!!

My father was a police officer too my dear:)

Zophyr don't worry, you still have your sleaze bucket bad boy image intact... we've still seen your reactions after Spikey posts xa xa.. :p

On that note I'm thinking of getting a avatar together with a GG placed discreetly in my err "cleavage"..

I digress, this was a lovely warm gesture ESPECIALLY after some of fighting that's we've witnessed in some of the other threads...

BRAVO!

For the record.

I am the evil person that posted the private message to SharonLM which was exagerated, IMO.

Sharon... when you first posted the thread regarding your husband's illness and backing out of buying the GG due to his early retirement and financial concerns, several of us felt bad for your circumstances and discussed buying one for you - until we discovered you already owned several 'high end' devices.

You've since gone on to buy several others, which is certainly your privilege and your own business. But to use your husband's illness to publicly garner sympathy and get out of a purchase where you clearly had buyer's remorse is disingenuous and in bad taste, IMO.

I'm terribly sorry about your husband's illness and keep him in my thoughts and prayers. I, too, have family members that are very sick and I resent you using it as an excuse.

Just sayin'...

I *think* it's okay to post my own message according to TOS, but if I'm mistaken and get banned so be it.

It's my persona opinion and I stand by it. Apparently I wasn't too far off base since others felt the compassion and need to donate to the cause due to the OP.

Suzi: This is my first post, and it was meant as a personal thank you to Imeo for being such a great guy. I never meant anything other than that. My husband does have lung cancer, we will be on limited income (especially at first, read my other posts on this subject) and I NEVER asked for help or expected any. I have freely throughout this board mentioned what I have, what I'm buying and NEVER insinuated anywhere that I wanted people to feel so sorry for me that they helped me out.

That being said, I appreciate what I consider a loving gesture from a couple of people on this board and I am so grateful for all the love and support (verbal) I've received.

I PM'd you and said you and I needed to mend the fences and hoped you would, it went from there. Yes you were gracious in one sentence then took the graciousness away with another.

I am truly sorry you feel this way and I hope you'll find it in your heart to let by gones be by gones.

Blessings to you Suzi

A Big Thank you and a personal note

Hi all: As many of you know, or may remember, I placed an order with Imeo. Haven't received my order yet and got a little concerned if in the future I'd need to send the device back to Imeo. I was concerned about the cost of shipping.

You see, as I've mentioned on a previous thread my husband has lung cancer. He's going to take an early retirement and of course as with most people who live on a retirement budget, it's much less than what regular income usually is, plus of course the cost of medical bills.

I wrote Imeo with this concern just a little while ago and asked him if I could get a full refund.

It didn't take him long at all before I noticed in my paypal account was a full refund waiting for acceptance.

On top of that I received the absolute nicest private email from Imeo and his only concern was with my husband's health and me. He never asked any questions about the refund, never said anything that made me feel bad, he only said that he wished us the best and that he would always be here for me or us.

I just wanted to give a public thank you and let others know that it isn't just money that makes Imeo nice. Even when he's giving money back, he's absolutely the nicest person.

I'm sure, as I've seen, when someone steps on his toes he may yell out, but when it comes to money or returning money, he doesn't care, he'll be there for us and he was and is.

So, Imeo, publicly I thank you so much!

It just goes to show that we each interpret things differently. I felt that my acceptance of your apology and my return apology was sincere. Apparently you don't.

If you read the posts subsequent to your OP, you'll find that many of us rallied to your side with declarations of sincere sympathy. As I said, many of us felt bad for your circumstances and discussed pitching in to purchase a GG for you since you implied that you couldn't purchase it due to financial worries - until we discovered you already owned several 'high end' devices. Since you went on to purchase several other devices, it personally made me feel you were being a bit disingenuous with your OP. I didn't give it much of thought past that until here we are a month later discussing the same thing.

It's just my personal opinion - nothing more. Why worry about it? All's well that ends well, as they say.

Sharon, Suzi is far from an evil person I can assure you...

She is one of the kindest, nicest people I have met here on ECF.

And as her post proves, she is one of the most honest. I was approached with the idea of clubing together for a GG for you, and I too will be honest and say I refused.

I too stand by that decision, and I also stand by what I said about Zofryer and Imeo, that indeed was a most generous and kind gesture.

I also stand by my wish for healing for your husband, and my warmest wishes to you too.

The GG family offer support to anyone who needs that support, but I feel in this thread my support has to go to the brave post by Suzi...

And she deserves my hugs right now...

Suzi,
It must have taken you enormous courage to post here and bring it all out in the open. I think you really deserve kudos for that.

All this goes to show how easy it is for misunderstandings to happen on forums such as this and reminds us all that sometimes we need to take more time to see all sides of a situation.

Sharon you have to at least admit what with the way you worded your first post most of us took it as heartbreaking situation that you and your husband were in and you had our sympathy for your situation.

To most of us that was what came through with your post, rather than the cost of returning the GG for warranty and not having the money for it.

Then when Di aproached us about chipping in to buy you a GG, I said sure and if she couldn't get the 8 people she needed to share the cost I would double my share.

We all felt sad because we know how much we like vaping with these high end PVs. Then we get PMs from Di and others that you already have the Screwdriver and Prodigy so it was a no go to buy you a GG.

So then most of us felt somewhat duped about where you were coming with the money situation. Based on you already having other high end PVs (which none of us knew until another member told us - and he told us in no uncertain terms that you already had several of these PVs and you were just playing on our sympathies) we couldn't understand about this warranty issue you had with the GG. Most of us then felt it was bogus since you backed out of the purchase at the same time as the button recall was occurring.

After reading your posts I see that your limited income is simply going to be because your husband is retiring. Well, a lot of us are in that boat too.

So I understand where Suzi is coming from considering what this other member told us about you. You have to admit that the way you word your posts you come across as a play for sympathy.

And now you talk about Suzi's PM to you and exaggerate what she said when we see it's not like that at all. It's not right that you twist Suzi's words like that.

I give Suzi kudos for telling it like it is and having the nerve to say what most of us are thinking anyway.

As you have read in my previous post on this thread, I have laid out all of this stuff, and what we as a family attempted to do to help sharon, by purchasing the GG that we thought she was cancelling because she could not afford to finalize the purchase because of her financial circumstances.
Now I am reading that she has bought several other devices after saying she was in financial difficulties,
Is this true-- if so, what is going on , -------------

Imeo that doesn't surprise me, he must have been one of the finest!

yes really he was the best officer in his town. He had no accidents for 10 years he was there. One year after he left, 2 deaths with cars happened and many more the next years and many thiefs came to town. After him it was a disaster.
Many towns wanted to have him. But the most important is that he loved us very very much.

I am sure that your husband was one of the best officers out there. His photo shows a very good and polite man. Say hello to him from his friends here, we think of him:)

No one said you are an evil person as you saw suzi, maybe you wanted to save my money and saying the truth as you see it. Maybe you are right, I am with you, but my mother said once: "Make good things and let them go". I am doing this now as Zof do the same.:)

I do not understand the big problem here. Sharon decide she did not want a GG and wanted her money back and she most likely took that money and bought another unit or two. She stated that she could not afford the shipping back to greece if GG was not working. She took that money and bought from the states another e-cig or two.

I also think sharon took suzi Pm wrong. Lets just try to forget and forgive.
Both of you ladies are nice and honest ladies. Try in your hearts to forgive each other.

If the reason for canceling GGs order was the shipping money if something was going wrong with GG, then I agree with sharon's desision. Her husband has a problem so money are presious for her (even the shipping cost) but she is addicted to smoke, so she wanted a GG. But if she bought other devices with the money she had for GG, then she made her choice and she is wrong of course. But my dessision cant change.

As for you Suzi, I want to ask a question. As chistena said you are a good person. But you left GG forum without explanation and you went to the vapers forum posting to a very bad thread.
If you want to explain ok, if not I am ok again

hmm , nice offer , but maybe mis-guided now .

Still doesn't change what the two guys laid on the table initially .

Whatever the outcome , Imeo and Zofryer's hearts are in the right place and I respect that.

I definitely agree
