I don't really want to debate each issue either. They're merely my impressions. It's true that things get lost in the translation between typing and not being face to face and compounded by the language and cultural differences.

I think we should just leave it at I was tired of the fighting and drama.

fighting and drama was not my fault too if you remember. I didnt attact to anyone first. I always answering to others. If you reconcider your impressions you will see what is really happened.

There is no way to convince you, so let it go Suzi. Forget it and I will do the same.

Internet cafe is closing. I will not say that I love you because you will think that I fool you again.:)

ps........I saw that mamu post to the vapers forum that I made a thread asking for her name. It was a mistake but am I the no mistake man? Is this a reason for leaving and talking with stupid people to the other forum?

I have to say that although I like you Sharon, I agree. Don't you have two screwdrivers? I know I was so jealous when I saw your huge list of "high end" PV's, it seemed like you could afford any mod that comes out and 2 if you liked them. I thought Holy cow, that lady must be loaded! I am so sorry about your husband and the impending financial hardships you will be suffering, but hon, I live on $630.00 a month disability and $60.00 in food stamps...for a MONTH! I KNOW what hardship and debilitating illness is. And I eat beans and ramen noodles many, many times a month. I only got my first PV, a SD, a couple of weeks ago after two months of saving for it. You are lucky if Zo (a really sweet guy) is going to buy you a GG Transformer....but I have to ask?

In the event that it ever breaks and you have to ship it back to Greece can you then afford to? Seems like you would be in the same boat which is the reason you cancelled your order in the first place. Just thinking.....

I sympathize with your circumstances darkmoondreamer. There are so many people living with disabilities on very fixed incomes. And there are many people without jobs.

This is an interesting question you present.

I just wanted to add a few thoughts of mine.

First, I read Sharon's original post, and to me, it seemed like the stumbling block for going through with the purchase of the GG was the cost of mailing it back should there be a problem.

Frankly, it's a realistic concern. An extended warranty is great, but when you have to pay to send it back overseas and then wait 3-6 weeks for its return, that's an issue. I have a Screwdriver, and it had to go back to Trog for a repair, which cost $ and time. And, of course, we had the recent GG recall, and I sent the GG to Greece, at my expense.

It adds up.

While you might have the funds NOW for purchases, you might also be trying to establish your affairs so that when retirement hits, your expenses are as fixed and as limited as possible. Spending $25 to mail a device overseas can blow a budget.

And for those who judge about buying several high-end devices, her husband has cancer. What you know is often what you fear most. Add that to the scares about banning and the FDA, and it is not even a little surprising to me that Sharon is busy stocking up while she has the funds available.

I suppose I can see why some folks might have some misgivings about Sharon's motivations in sharing her story, but I really can't quite wrap my head around why anyone would feel the need (or the authority) to send her a PM about it. I mean, if she was trying to take advantage, a PM would hardly make an impact. And if she wasn't trying to take advantage, the only purpose a PM would serve is to make her feel bad.

Sometimes we just ought to keep our thoughts to ourselves. I have a feeling I'm going to be sorry I didn't take my own advice.

Sorry if this sounds disjointed . . . I'm trying to finish up a project, and I'm tired and distracted, but this really struck a chord with me.

ps........ please send me a post where I am rude. Dont tell me that its a general sensation, please send me a post.
Um... you deleted them all :(

Is this a reason for leaving and talking with stupid people to the other forum?
Hmmm... I have multiple university degrees and I graduated at the top of my classes with "honors" and so I am considered by many to be very smart. Many well educated people post at the "other" forum.

Maybe if you come post at the other forum we will seem like smarter people?

These comments based NOT in fact would seem to be one of the "rude" posts.

In Sharon's defense... I had not paid my car insurance or my rent yet and I bought a second "high end device" (A copy of one I already have) because when my original broke I almost went back to smoking because my 3.7 volt devices became unsatisfying and I had to wait for the other to be repaired. So... for someone in a place where going back to smoking is NOT an option I can understand having multiple high end PV's. I had the advantage of having mine made in America, not Greece so it was repaired and back to me in a matter of a couple days... but that is one reason why I would not get a GG and fall in love with it unless I could afford two of them because I would not want to be stuck without it then.

Zof and Imeo.... that is very nice of you to do. No doubt... but why then do the other 8 people who originally intended to get one for Sharon not ALSO get a pat on the back?

It is nice to have a family... even when it is a stupid family like the one we have at the "other" forum. It is good to have others looking out for you.

Maybe Sharon was afraid Imeo wouldn't give a refund if she simply called it what it was - which was buyer's remorse?

I cancelled my first order for the Prodigy and got a refund without all this hoopla.

Anyway, appears to be moot now. Sharon's getting a GG and if she has a warranty issue she's still going to have to send it to Greece to get it fixed.

Or maybe she felt compelled to explain to Imeo that she wasn't seeking a refund because she didn't want the GG or because she thought it was too expensive . . . it's just that she was worried about the cost of returning it should there be a problem, especially considering that because of her husband's cancer, he was going to have to retire early. Maybe she wanted to make Imeo understand why she wanted the refund so that he would give it to her.

I guess my point in all of this is we could speculate all we want, but it really serves very little purpose other than possibly to make people feel badly. Why not assume the best of people rather than the worst?

imeo... As you can clearly see, i'm an honest person - usually to my own detriment. :d

i got tired of the politics and fighting on this sub-forum. Much of which you brought on yourself, imo.

You're a charming man, for sure, and many of us fell under that spell. We came to your defense repeatedly, even when you were acting like a butthead, which made us look like bubble headed fools. I don't think you hold women in a very high regard and brush them off in favor of men who, of course, know more than us silly 'girls'. It's offensive.

I know you have a lot on your plate, but i feel you make promises you often can't keep and that makes you lose credibility in my eyes. Example is the five winners of the first guaranteed transformers. People no one ever heard of were receiving them for 'review purposes' that we've still never seen. Customers in japan were receiving them in mid july when the winners were being waved off and postponed with lame excuses.

The business between you and tim was embarrassing to witness. Whatever the differences, you should have been a big enough man to face him in private rather than avoiding him like a petulant child forcing him to post openly to find out the status of your partnership.

These are just a few of the things that have driven me away from posting on this sub-forum.

I love my gg (although i haven't gotten it back yet). It's the only device to date that has gotten me off cigarettes. And through this forum i've met a lot of truly lovely people. But i don't need the drama that this forum seems to generate.

I hope you receive this with good intentions. You asked and i wanted to honest.

I think that was a very generous gift to sharon.

wow my thoughts EXACTLY. I've never heard of ppl freaking out because someone canceled an order, whatEVER the reason.

hats off to you imeo and trofyer (?).

what kills me about this drama is all the gossip about other ppl's devices behind the scenes. Sounds like some of you need to step away from the keyboard.

if I had someone tailing my every move online, I'd be beyond ticked.

Sharon, don't let this stress get to you. If high end devices get you through what is down the road for you, go for it. It's safer than drugs to keep you on an even keel.

People, this woman's husband is DYING and you have the nerve to get in her face over an order cancellation?

unfricknbelievable.

SOUNDS like,

"we all felt sorry for you and wanted to pitch in, but the gossip wagon came along and told us you have many devices"

"did you hear about sharon? did you hear how MANY devices she has?"

"omg! no I didn't know! Well F her I'm not buying her anything!"

So by now you're all worked up...

"holy crap I almost gave my hard earned money to her! I'm ...... now"

"that Sharon, she must be trying to get sympathy"

"you think so? omg you're right! I think so TOO!"

LMAO where is the popcorn :p 8-o

Well, that would be really sad if it were true and the reason why.

It's not at all that she has other high-end devices, some of which she bought AFTER the GG refund. It's not that at all.

It's the fact that she uses her husband's cancer and her up-coming limited income as her crutch for sympathy when she wants something.

Many have a problem with people who do that sort of devious stuff.

And she resurrects this thread for another play at sympathy instead of leaving it where it belonged - private. And then she starts even another thread for another go around in the General Forum.

I have a friend named Wanda who does this exact same thing. It gets old is all.

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is what it is.

I just don't understand. :( From Sharon's OP I read it as she just wanted to share how she felt about Imeo (being a very understanding & honest man) to give her a refund - and was not asking for "charity" because husband is ill. What gives anyone the right be be so judgmental over something that was between Sharon and Imeo? From the looks of it, this thread was dead until Rejoice posted over 2 weeks later asking about Imeo's recovery from surgery, that didn't look like it even belonged in this thread? Sharon certainly didn't start the thread back up again herself... so once again... I just don't understand. I haven't been around much because of all the fighting... but keep hoping things will change? :?:

Sharon.. My thoughts & prayers are with you & your husband.

Another good post from you Spikey after Tauki's. Well, let's talk now.

You didnt saw me posts where I was rude. You were just rude from the start to me.

I have university degrees too. Is that makes us good persons? Some people stays stupid even with 20 degress and you know that, dont say the opossite it will be a stupidness:D:D

As for sharon, I agree, she wants GG because it was the device she always wanted and she will have it.

As for your last question, if I understand well (my poor english again) you asked why we didnt do it at the first place with the other 8 people? Its because I didnt knew anything about it. Yesterday Zof asked me for this.
