With my REO I can tell when the battery starts to drop off. I will get a hit that is a bit cooler than normal.... that's when I know to switch out my batteries. I can usually go about 8-10 hours of pretty heavy use (I vape about 6ml a day) before I change out my batteries.

As I have said before- if I can use a REO without burning my house down or having it explode - then I am very confident that ANYONE can do it. I am a bit accident prone (huge understatement) and I am not mechanically inclined in any way (my brother got all of that talent in my family) and I am able to use a REO with awesome results.... it doesn't get any easier!!!

My REO is the best investment I have made since I started vaping. I have gone through a couple of decent mods but for me the REO just takes the cake!!!
I really do want at least one more and a mini for short trips or errands or when I'm at home when I feel like switching flavors more often....

Congratulations!

I have a RM2 question. I purchased a LP version yesterday and can't seem to get the air hole to rotate around to where I want it (O ring is installed) Now the atty seems super tight and I can't get it off to realign. Any suggestions?

Try it without the O ring. I don't use them and it works fine.

Can't help you there yet shoebunnie...I'm clueless about the whole airhole thing. Even with people explaining it to me I don't get it lol. I just try to keep the airhole near the juice hole and align them away from my mouth when I hit it. the results are great. i don't understand what the o-ring is accomplishing per se...

I think i misread about dry burning it I'm not worried about it...REOnaut videos show dry burning it. I dry burned last night when i switched wick, no problems. let's just keep it up unless someone says don't.

but I mean like honestly, I believed you guys on the REO, but this thing is RIDICULOUS. I expected to re-do my coil today but don't want to because every. single. hit. is PERFECT. i'm sure I can replicate it but still. the reason i wanted to redo it is I twisted the wire ends and broke them off that way, instead of clipping and bending the ends upwards like the screws. I was told on the REO forum its best to bend them up with the screws to avoid them becoming loose. they did become loose after rewicking last night, so it didn't fire and I screwed it back down and no problems since. so REO folks, should I redo my coil, or keep running with it for a few days? I wont wait too long either way because coiling this beast was fun

What badge, DaBucs?

Lastly, anyone considering a REO, but like me thought it was too much money, listen man...buy the darn thing. I wish I had skipped to this and bypassed the KFL etc. but, not really. the practice helped out a lot.

Sloth, the coil alignment to the air hole changes flavor and throat hit. You want the air hole right next to the coil...adjusting the coil up and down and in and out from the posts changes the vape.

Personally I like my coil as far out from the posts as possible and then up even with the air hole if not a bit above... ;)

hahaha!!! well without the tail ends bent upwards towars the screw i don't wanna try repositioning the coil until i rebuild it. i did just rewick so ive got a fresh one since im about to head out for the day. aaaaaaaaaaand PERFECT-OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! took 5 minutes or something stupid...love this thing, LOVE IT!

My first "problem" arose which is i think i filled the bottle too much and squonked too long, so a little juice came out the airhole...a LITTLE bit. wiped it off. pfft, big deal LOL

I can't believe this thing man. Cannot believe it. I'm in a whole new world of vaping today.

And this is why so many "enablers" (cough junkies cough) say to get one even if you have only used cartos! :thumb:

Questions include:

1) will the battery drain at all if I leave it in the REO without using it--ie overnight?
2) when not in use--pocket etc--should the wick be saturated, end of a squonk cycle, does it matter?
3) I hear overtightening the screws of the posts that hold the coil ends is bad news. how best to get snug enough to not worry about it being loose but not overtighten it? (I use the KFL+ little screwdriver, fyi)
4) what else should NOT be overtightened? the RM2 on the REO--the rebuilding video I watched (posted above by Rick) seems to really tighten it down good. correct?
5) untl my battery case comes, is taking an extra battery along with me in a plastic baggy (the one it came in, roughly the size of the battery itself) the best option?
6) how best to store the REO while, say, hiking? is there a waterproof case or anything?
7) I seem to recall hearing it's bad to dry burn the RM2...surely not the case, right? ok to dry burn it on the REO Grand?
8) changing flavors...I have extra bottles for other flavors. Obviously, swap bottle, rewick. For the tube though? I know I can use a bottle filled with water and squonk warm water through the tube. is that seriously sufficient to get rid of the old flavor though?
9) with regard to *sampling* flavors--fresh wick, dripping directly. will that juice get sucked down and mix with my bottle juice and if so how best to go about this and avoid doing that?
10) what are the NT juices you guys find truly remarkable in a REO vs a tank?

Sorry, lots of questions but I feel and hope they're easy ones :)

Rick - so you think it's too much cotton based on my picture? Given how perfectly its vaping, and assuming it's too much cotton, what will less cotton accomplish...an even BETTER vape??? I'm all ears yo :D :hubba:

Amberina - the flavor is kickin, though honestly with Wakonda, I don't find it much better than in the KFL. It's better but not by a lot. It's more the fact that every hit is so perfect that's got my endorphins flowin'!

Jren - that's awesome, tell him/her I send some dack love! :)

1. the battery shouldn't drain no I leave mine in all the time. :)
2. I try to vape as much off the wick before I put it in my pocket/purse. I have had it leak a little when it was totally full which was my mistake.
3. I actually tighten mine as much as I can. I've had some that somehow wiggled loose after usage and it caused my ohms to go from 1.3 to .6 without me knowing. then I wiggled it a little more and it jumped up the opposite end. Not tight screws can do crazy things to your build. and if you subohm already, you don't want something like that to happen.
4. the rm2 doesn't necessarily need to be tightened down all the way. I leave mine a little lose so to speak so that it lines up with my airholes and so that everything makes a perfect line down the middle. its good to have your air hole away from you when you vape and anywhere from the 10-2 position. this just helps the air flow smoothly through the rm2 increasing flavor and vapor.
5. baggies are ok. :)
6. I carry mine in a sunglass pouch - not a case but the pouches that draw string on the end. works fine.
7. I dry burn the crap outta my rm2s. it's totally fine.
8. water works fine. sometimes I'm lazy and just blow through the end of the tube to get the flavor out. If you are camping or something, this will work fine too. typically after a couple of squonks the old flavor is gone. unless its banana. :)
9. dripping works great! I haven't found flavors really linger around like this.
10. ALL of them! Seriously. I have 3 reos and just got my 4th in and there's not a flavor that's bad. I have one that I run only fruits and one that's specific to bakery. from there, I just typically go one on top of another. meaning, if I have crème brulee in and go through the whole tank I will either dry burn the wick and add another flavor in the bottle or sometimes I wash the bottle out. You can't go wrong! it's so simple! some flavors mix really well and you will quickly learn which ones you prefer to do a "clean" run with.
5.

Thanks kinggirl!! Fantastic on all fronts :) except so banana lingers a long time eh...so say that for some reason i can't get rid of an old flavor like the banana easily. is it ok to actually take the tube off and soak it and the bottle and the rm2 in soapy water for a while?

I'm gonna take my REO for her first hike in a few minutes...a short hike up to a nice view for sunset. I am gonna try to name her while I'm up there :)

i want to try other flavors soooo bad, especially Naki's and strawnilla...but how on earth am i supposed to stop vaping Wakonda LOL

This is the first day since i started vaping where i haven't switched to another tank at least once to taste another flavor. and i probably wont the rest of the day :)

Actually no it doesn't linger what I would consider a long time. seriously, most are gone with 2 squonks. banana can linger a little longer but again, I just filled my bottle over banana and didn't even bother with washing the banana out with water. I figure all fruits mix well together or on top of each other and the bakery ones seem to from my experience as well. Some of them I prefer only putting in a clean tank b/c I want to get JUST that flavor - like strawnilla for example. I love that stuff - I want it just as it is without ANY remnants of something before.

Yep, this. I have found complimentary flavors go great just filling the bottle with something else and going for it. If a juice is too strongly flavored it can be permanent (like Clark's Pluid Reo which will now and forever make everything taste like Pluid...) in that case buy another Reo or two. I think you will need one for your Wakonda and one for your Naki's mix and one for fruits...:2cool: :thumb:

but doesn't *need* to be permanent, as with effort i can get rid of any flavor right? being that it will be a while before I get another REO - when i do oh god you probably nailed what I'd do if i have 3 of them LOL. when i get a second, Wakonda's got its own REO, just so it's always there to vape
in the meantime i was planning on having one bottle be Wakonda only, one bottle Strawnilla only, etc., and have 1 or 2 bottles that switch flavors with cleaning (or not depending on what comes next like you all suggest). one bottle for water for squonking to clear the tube. is this a reasonable and workable plan...i guess that's my question

totally reasonable. I'll vape wakonda for like 4 full bottles then I feel like I want a change. Or sometimes it's after 1 bottle. You can always wash away the prior flavor. for me, I just wash the bottle out (sometimes takes 3 water fills) and shake the bottle to get all the liquid out, dump it, and depending on how convenient it is, I either squirt water through it or just blow through the tube. then I dry burn, put a new wick in, and filler up! Sounds complicated but all in all takes like 3-5 minutes. Or if you have extra bottles, load it up, and go. then wash the original bottle. I am not kidding when I say I have probably 30 bottles of juice at least from nicoticket. I don't have 1 reo running anything dedicated. I constantly change them up.

also, you can hold your reo under a faucet. just have the water pressure on low so it's more like a trickle. just be sure not to have a battery in but sometimes this is just as easy. let it trickle down into the 510 connection and the water will run through the tube and clear it out. i'll put either a paper towel at the other end or a towel.
