I am fairly new myself to e-smoking. I allready have got 2 of my friends to buy starter kits and stop a pack a day or more habit. Been vaping for almost 3 weeks now :) It is already saving me alot of money where analogs where I am are up to about 7 dollars a pack. Having a few cravings but just got some new juice today that im loving. Good idea for sure

So does this only count towards past members referring new members here for instance if a friend told him about e cigs and he started doing research on it and ended up here but hasn't tried it yet does that count? Or has this ended already?

I think we have one more from Steve (the original poster), and I have committed to also provide the same deal to an additional two people once steve has completed the 10 he so generously offered.

From what I understand a new forum member would really only need to befriend another person to "sponsor" them. I believe what Steve (and I know it is my opinion) is looking for here is that this lives beyond the original 10 gifts. That hopefully the people who receive this initial gift will extend this out well beyond the original gift. So all that is required is that a potential recipient fully agrees and commits to the terms Steve laid out on post #1. That you will give it an honest try, that if it doesn't work for you, you will give the hardware to someone else also agrees to the original terms, and if it does work for you, you agree to "pay it forward" to two additional people.

I see this as an incentive for people who are financially challenged to make the first move to E Cigarettes, to move forward. If one really and truly moves from analog to electronics they should easily save enough money that would otherwise have been given to Phillip Morris and the Tax Man to meet the commitment here to pay it forward.. The start up cost for the E-Cig is more than some can "shell out" at an additional goal, especially when they are still addicted to analogs. I'm hoping that here we can help them over that initial point and get into saving some money. Then 6 months from now those same people would hopefully have saved enough money, and be committed to this idea enough, that meeting the pay it forward clause would be both desire able and financially achievable for them..

I'm thinking over the next week or so we should start seeing those who have received the gift start taking very active roles on the forum. Asking questions learning/finding their perfect juice etc etc. Things we have all either done, or are still in the process of. Then I'd expect them to start advocating this move to others, and the "pay it forward" gets a going.

I intend to keep extending this offer each month as i actualize the savings over smoking analogs. I for one made this switch because i truly believe it is a better life choice for me, not because it I was trying to save money. So I want to help as many other people experience that better life as I can, and I'm gonna use my old tobacco "budget" to make it easier for some others to achieve this life improvement. :)

Thanks Mutt, you summed it up better than I could.

IcyShadowz, Welcome.

Nine have been shipped, and I am waiting for Jurassica Parks' mom to get her motherly bottom into the forum and post. She will be number 10 for me, and then I have to let my accounts recover a little bit ;). If you look at my banner, my break even point is a little farther away as I included the PIF in it. But certainly smokers who transition to vaping will have more than saved enough in 6 months to PIF to two people who agree to the conditions and will PIF it again to two more. I am hoping we can get a real community going here where we can help everyone with the switch.

The reason I went with the eGo, is that so many people have issues with the 510 battery life, that they end up "upgrading" to the eGo anyway, so I want to get them kitted out without an accompanying urge to upgrade and hence spend more money. A pack a day smoker who can immediately make the switch should save enough in the first month alone to be able to PIF. And the PIF doesn't need to be until 6 months later (though earlier is okay!).

I too may extend this, and do a couple more here and there, but I wanted to kick it off with a bang! And if anyone else reading these posts wants to jump in like Mutt has that is great!

Cheers,

Steve

Good on ya! I find that eCigs, at least the good ones are so impressive to smokers that they automatically want to share it with others.

ok cool now i just need a sponsor lol being as new as i am going to be kinda hard and if there's even any slots left

I'm sure you'll find one real soon... This forum is awesome. I've PM-ed at least almost a dozen people with newbie questions and all of them were more than happy to answer my doubts. I'm somewhat addicted to this forum already...

Anyway you might like to check the PIF (Pay it forward) thread as well. This is the first time I've visited a forum with this PIF scheme and it really speaks of how enthusiastic vapers are to spread the good word about e-cigs.

Anyway welcome to the family! I'm already feeling at home in this forum though I've only been around here for a week or so...

I know where you are coming from. I made the switch after having a large blood clot in my right lung. I smoked for 28 years and ended up at 2 packs a day. I did the Blu, then 510, then my Ego. I got one of my friends started with passing on the blu (with clear intentions of upgrade to the 510), she has pass on 510 gear to several ppl, I have passed on 510 gear to several ppl and now my little small town doesn't even blink when you vape inside. My mother is even "testing the waters". I am not pushing her, it's all her choice. I have ordered some cartomizers in the hope that they will tip her over the edge.
