Hello All,

I finally decided to wash out one of my RN4072 atomizers. This was a first for me and maybe last unless I can determine what went wrong for me. I ran it through some hot water, blew out any excess water from both ends and stuck it in the oven for about 10 minutes at 170 degrees to assist in drying it out. I had read in another thread that someone else does that.

I put a couple of primer drops directly on the atomiser and hooked her up. I got about 10 hits and then it went cold. I've let it sit awhile hoping it would finally come back for me but no luck.

It was not too old, just slowing down a bit so if there is something I can try that may have worked for others I would appreciate hearing what you did.

If its gone it's gone, but I want to try anything I can before I give it up.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Nomo--You did not prime it with enough e-liquid--as it was bone dry--it needed an good 7-10 drops and then let sit to saturate the wire mesh before you fire it back up--the RN4072's mesh holds a lot of e-liquid and it needs to wike before you vape it. Next time flood the atomizer and blow it out, and wait a while before you fire it up--150 degrees for 15 minutes is a good drying time-------Sun

Hey Sun,

Thanks for your reply. I continue to learn something new everyday.

How do you maintain your atomizers? Do you wash them out or do you have another method that works best for you?

Thanks again!

Nomo--I will be posting a solution that really does work--no "vodoo" stuff--look for the post in the experiments section in a few days----till then just hold out doing any atomizer cleaning-----Sun

Unfortunately, every e-cig owner needs a cheap-o multimeter. Why? Because you can instantly determine if an atomizer is still working or not by determining if the heating coil still has continuity. Again, I stress, this is a hand-son, full-contact habit that requires intermediate skills to make our devices perform well and to identify where problems lurk in the entire system.

Can you restate that in girlspeak? :D

I'm pretty sure my hubby has a mulitmeter but I'm not sure what to tell him to do with it. LOL
