Present all the counterpoints you want. I don't care. My only purpose for posting this info to the community is, as the topic title suggests, identification of an area of concern in battery mods. I verified the concern as an annoying and expensive problem. A problem that was resolved as quickly as it appeared by simply allowing limited airflow through the connector.

Aerodynamics can be quite complicated and can be as strange and subtle as wild coincidence. My situation could fall into either category but it doesn't matter. All that matters to me is my problem is resolved and I've presented the info to those who may find it useful.

Since an airtight connector is about as valuable to me as having t*ts on my pickup truck, I choose not to use them anymore. Please feel free to use them if you so desire.

I recently burned out two attys on my BE112 probe mod. I had the connector sealed. Yesterday I cut two grooves perpendicular to the threads so the atty can pull air through the center hole...

I wish I had done this sooner! The draw is better, the vape is better, and it runs cooler.

I don't know if atomizers will hold up better, but the jaw fatigue is gone and it just works better.

Maybe your atomizer's suck?

Could be. Perhaps the guy who soldered the production of atomizers we drew from had too much baiju the last work day before Spring Festival and wasn't seeing too good. In every example, the nichrome coil came out of the solder joint. My theory is the tiny disruption from normal airflow allowed just enough localized heat gain to make all of these solder joints release their wire.

Since you don't care about "counterpoints", and "the community" doesn't care about your stubborn views of YOUR truth as opposed to THE truth despite most everyone posting very different opinion on the subject, the thread can now be closed and everyone can move on to better things.

Thank you for the information crazyhorse.
