Hi All:

I mixed up my first couple of batches of diy juice over the weekend. Although there's lots of room for improvement, I ended up with some vapable liquid. I came away with a couple of questions for the more experienced vets though:

1) I ended up using a whole ("dram") bottle of LorAnn flavoring to produce a 15ml batch of juice. The flavor is strong, but not really that over-powering. From what I had read, that seems like a lot of flavoring to me. Does it seem like a lot to you?

2) My "basic diy" kit came with a bottle of "Wilton Glycerin." That's just regular "VG" with no nicotine, right?

3) Do any of you have suggestions for good suppliers of "tobacco" flavorings? I'm very happy with the supplier (eSmokeClub) I used for my starter kit and will re-order from them. And I like the wide variety of LorAnn flavors. But they don't have any tobacco type flavors, and I think I may want that again in the future.

As always - thanks in advance for any advice.

Ah, Another DIYer. Very cool.

3) You might want to give FA (FlavourArt) tobaccos a try. 2% is a good starting point. I use Maxboro Ult., Camtel Ult., Cowboy, and Latakia frequently. Have had excellent results with them. You can get 3ml samples for $2 each here. Flavour Art Flavors - $0.00 : Pure Vapes. Shipping is cheap as well. A great way to find out what flavors you like without spending serious coin.

Mix on.

Grats on starting to DIY, I to have just recently started. If I may, you may want to check out Dilution Base Liquid - One Stop DIY Shop Store for some of your DIY needs. They have many different flavors and the popular brands to choose from. Sorry, can't help on the tobacco flavor, as I am still searching for the one. Good luck in your flavor search.

Try using less flavor and letting it steep longer, you will be surprised what happens in 5-7 days or even a bit longer ! It's also crazy what some flavorings do with only 1-3 drops as an undertone. For instance only 1 drop of Cinnamon oil is amazing what it will do and I do mean 1 small drop.

Totally agree, although I may try it before then I don't even think about what a final mix is going to be like for at least a week. The percentage of flavoring will depend on your preference and the flavor itself. I've done some FA flavors at under 5%, most of those between 5 and 10 though. Most Cappella I find works best for me around 15%. I'd also recommend Capella for a beginner, hard to mess those up and everyone I've tried has been good.

Check the DIY forum out, you can pick up some tips on different flavors that will save you some time and money experimenting.

This. I use ecigexpress.com, they have really good prices and tons of flavors. All the FA tobacco flavors are good in my opinion, but very, very concentrated. Use with caution :vapor:

Jumping into DIY ejuice making can be lots of fun...but without proper research will usually end with pretty poor results. An example I can think of off the top of head is: Ok you eat food...but never cooked before, so now you want to make a really good tasting meal, so you go get some meat some potatoes and some veggies, now you go cook....probobly will not be very tasty...What an idea to have< READ A RECIPE> If you can read you can cook my daddy always said...LOL. Same with DIY juice, research, watch some youtube videos, get some recipes then proceed carefully...and the results will be much better.
