Hello again everyone. I've just received my new Riva 1100 and I have a couple of further questions for any who'd care to answer. First of all, could someone recommend a good resource/guide for the upkeep of these things? Secondly: With my previous Liberro Realis, I was using a liquid called DK Tab which, through the Realis, was delicious, sweet and aromatic, but through the Riva (using a clearomizer) tastes like cheap tangerine soap. I hadn't realised that the gear you're using had such an effect on the flavour. I'm guessing, since the DK Tab was made by Liberro, it was designed with the smaller model in mind and doesn't translate well to the Riva. The espresso from Johnson Creek on the other hand, which previously tasted like burnt caramel and not much else, now tastes pretty decent (though still retaining a strong molasses flavour). The upshot of all this is: could someone recommend me a company that makes good stuff that'll work well in the Riva? Or even some specific flavours? I favour tobacco flavours and coffee type stuff (i.e dry, bitter or aromatic) rather than fruit or menthol flavours. I think that's all. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with my purchase so far. I find the toke on it a bit jaw-intensive next to what I'm used to but that seems to be quickly improving, think it's a matter of adjusting technique. Can't wait to impress my smoker friends with my massive, metallic, phallic monstrosity!
