Hi,
Hate to be a pest.....
Did you quit analogs cold turkey when you started e-smoking? Did you e-cig and analog at the same time?
I started e-smoking this morning and find I really want a cigarette too. I wasn't expecting that....
I don't want to do to much by doing both...
Any suggestions or hints?
ty in advance!
edited to add: woo hoo, I can start a thread now!! woo hoo!
I think the best thing to do is to quit analogs cold turkey.
The main motivators are 1) your health, 2) saving money, 3) vaping is in, smoking is out.
Everytime you crave a analog, repeat to yourself all the health benefits resulting from quitting smoking as you vape.
My story is a little different. I have been smoking for 25 years, with a 2-year break in 1997-99. Also, I discovered a brand of special cigarette called Eclipse back in 2003. That is what I have been smoking since then, with camel ultra lights in between when eclipse became harder to find in 05. Eclipse basically heats tobacco instead of burning it. Eclipse claimed that it is a safer way to smoke, and I felt that it was (less coughing, better sense of smell, etc...). However, I am sure there are still tons of carcinogens.
I smoked more eclipse than regular cigarettes on a daily basis, and a pack was $5.50 vs $4.40 for camels.
I discovered e-cigarettes last august, and researched them on the web to get my hands on the best product and really make the switch.
I received my first e-cig early september: The Red Dragon. I found it really good, a great alternative to analogs, and I have not smoked ever since (2 weeks now). I am tons happier, my car does not stink anymore, I have more energy, and I save money.
I am going to exercise again. Take long walks with the dog, run, bike, etc...
I like the red dragon for the combination of vapor and closer to smoking the real thing, but I found it hard to draw.
I have experimented with bloogs for a few days. I did not like them at all: no vapor and the cartomizers were lasting the equivalent of 5 cigarettes before burning.
I needed more batteries and chargers so my next stop was with Vapure. Great product, easier to draw on, cartomizers are refillable even though I do not know how many times.
Vapure is THE 2-piece E-cig for me until I discover something else. I get 7 to 10 cigarettes worth of battery life, and 10 to 15 cigarettes between cartomizer refills. Vapure and Red Dragon seem to be the same except maybe the battery piece.
Anyhow, I recommend at least 2 batteries to start with.
Good luck!
