A couple of questions about my new Riva 510 and how the heck do I use cartomizers ?

I just got my new Riva510 this AM from Liberty Flights and I'm so excited. I've got the 1st batt on the usb charger that came with it but, need to know if I can use the wall charger that came with my Joye 510 kit to charge the Riva batts? If so I can be charging the other one too. I also bought some Boge 3.0 Ohm cartomizers to try. I've never used cartos and I'm a little confused. I found some helpful links here and learned how to fill it. I just can't figure out how to puff on it. Do I draw thru the hole in the little white cap or do I need a mouthpiece of some sort ? Ok ... yeah I'm a noobe for sure and these are probably dumb questions.... Sorry.... BUT here's one more.... Can I use the 3.0 Ohm cartos on my Joye 510 batts ?

I really want to thank all of you who post here. You have helped this old lady more than you may ever know. :)

I am not sure about the 3.0, I usually use the 2.0. Hopefully someone will come along.

To fill, take off the little rubber top on the end. You can use a bent paper clip or use your fingernail to pry it off. Several methods- but you can just tilt it at an angle and drip juice onto the side. Try not to drip into the center. When I pools, I hold the open end and shake it like a thermometer then drip a little more juice in (about 20 drops). It's best if it can sit awhile. Then pop the top back on, screw it on the battery and vape!

You can use the joye 510 charger with the riva batteries.

3.0 ohm is going to be less powerful than the normal atty's that come with it. most people like around 1.5-2.5 ohms on a 3.7 volt device like the riva. Just means the vapor may be a little thinner than you might like. 3 ohms is more for 4.2-6 volt devices.

My opinion though, your mileage may vary.

Should be great with the 3ohm on the Riva 510 batteries. Like Swedishfish, I usually use the 2ohm (but I would not use the 2ohm on a standard 510 mini battery).

A standard 510 mini charger will charge the Riva 510, just really slowly. Do NOT charge a standard 510 mini using the Riva (or eGo) fast charger, that would be bad ;) You also shouldn't have to worry about charging the Riva 510 from LF - and you could start puffing on it right away. Every one I've received from LF has had some charge to it. Instructions may say to charge 8 hours blah blah, but apparently as I've read around, these batteries do not have memory issues like other batteries, and therefore do not require "conditioning" like some older "instructions" sheets state. Doesn't hurt either way.

Enjoy your newfound bliss!

Thanks Swedishfish... I used the "You Tube" video method to fill the 1st one and put a couple more drops down the side like you suggested. Works great ! "Blow up " ???? Sure hope not ! lol
TY Willroo1... I tried the Riva batt in the 510 wall charger but it's too short to screw in. Maybe the 510 usb with adapter will work, but looks like it was already fully charged so will try when it runs down. The 3.0 Ohm feels good for me. After tearing up my throat, lungs, and rest of me smoking for 53 years I don't need too strong TH. Hmmmm....
Princessa... Appreciate the heads up about not using the fast charger for my 510 minis. I'll have to mark it so I don't. I did start using the Riva I haven't charged and it is AWESOME !! I can actually taste chocolate in one of my juices for the first time. Amazing !
Hello JCnewbie ! Yes we are neighbors ! I live a little NW of Tulsa. Just south of Cleveland if you know where that is. I'm about 30 minutes from the Vapor King store in Sand Springs. Have you been there yet ? Thanks for the welcome and the help.

You lucky dawg being near a retail shop!!!

Yup, I've labeled each wall wart and usb cable that I've gotten with the vendor and kit style to keep 'em straight.

So nice to hear new users loving and enjoying the flavors... just wait in a couple more days when those taste buds really start kicking back in! But, beware the entry ways into non-smoking establishments... the newfound sense of smell will enhance the stale ashtray scent that much more and well... ;)

Keep enjoying! Best of luck!

Yes, I've been to the Vapor Kings store....love them! Wow! We are neighbors. I live in the southwest part of Tulsa....my kids went to Sapulpa schools. I'm about 10 minutes away from the VK store. If you ever run out of juice or anything, remember my name and PM me. There are a few other vapers here in town....and quite a few from around the state. Cool!

Princessa... I am so glad they are close. I've only been there once tho. I don't get around too well anymore, thanks to age and analogs. But the guy there (Rob ?) was really nice and helpful. My smell is pretty much back. Found out there are somethings I really, really didn't miss smelling. LOL ! I started vaping last Dec, but still have a pack of analogs and have one occasionally. Only smoked about 2 1/2 packs since Dec tho. BIG progress for me.

Thanks Pandetera... I'll have to pick up a drip tip and try it. I'm not too fond of the round tips. I'm going to somehow mark the Riva charger so I don't use it for the 510 minis. I'm lovin this !

If your markings ever come off, you can turn your little charger over and the Riva one will say 420mA on it, and the 510 charger will say 180mA on it....just in case. Yeh...don't get them mixed up. The Riva charger will fry your little 510 batteries.

Oh, and next time you're at the VK store, you should pick up some 2.0ohm cartomizers.....they are really, really good on a Riva. Real easy draw with lots of flavor and vapor. Everytime I'm there I try to pick up a box of them.

I'm always so excited to meet a fellow Okie on the boards here! I see people here who are from Okla., but other than Rob and the folks at VK, I don't ever see anyone vaping, do you? I smoked for over 40 years myself. I love this more and more all the time. If you started with a little 510 in December, then you're gonna LOVE that Riva. I started with a stupid Smoke51 from the Woodland Hills Mall back last summer, then got a little 510, then the Riva. Big difference. The Riva batteries will last you for hours and hours. It'll be refreshing if you've gotten used to charging your 510s all the time. Oh, btw, I'm an "Okie Maw" too...Hi, my name is Jan.

Hahaha... We posted at the same time. Hello Jan ! I'm Diana. My cousin from BA showed me her 510 last Nov. and said they were the best she'd found. I have gotten so tired of charging and refilling them, so am delighted to get the Riva. My son bought his wife and our grandson a Smoke51 for Xmas and I helped my Grandson switch to a 510. My DIL isn't a convert yet tho. I'm also working on our oldest son and his wife. This is something I really believe in ! I don't get out and about too much anymore. Buy a lot of stuff on the web, but will try to get some 2.0 to try. I want to get to VK , maybe next payday, to stock up on batteries etc.
