I just started two weeks ago with the 510. It's got great Th with the right juice (all of them I've tried so far) and lots of vapor. I upgraded to the eGo about a week ago (it's just a 510 with a bigger battery so I don't have to mess with the pcc or switching out the batteries all day) the batteries really don't last long enough so expect to switch them out often during the day, unless you get a PT or PCC or a bigger battery like I did. It's harder to draw on than a regular cigarette, that's for sure, but the taste and TH and vapor makes in worth it. Two weeks in and I don't smoke anymore after 25 years. No withdrawal, no cravings, no anxiety at all. it's freaking unbelievable to me after all the times I "quit" before and suffered, to be able to switch to e-cigs and be done with it all just like that.

510 is a great unit. Buy liquid to refill the cartridges right away as the liquid goes quick in them (the more vapor, the quicker the liquid is used). Top off the cartridge often and put a drop on the atty bridge and you should be pretty happy with it. Most people have problems when they try to just use the prefilled cartridges without adding liquid.

For me, throat hit is more about what flavor I'm using, but with the 510 it is improved compared to other models. Some flavors have more throat hit than others. Menthol is the best throat hit, and adding a bit of PGA to your liquid can help also.

Battery life is the biggest PIA about a 510. Mega batteries (4 hours) or a PCC is recommended. Also a 510 Passthrough for use at home can help to save battery life when you are out.

Sticking my dime in, if you can afford it, by pass the 510 and go with the EGO or Tornado, you won't be disappointed, I have both and prefer the Tornado.
I'd go with this advice too. would've saved me money in the long run since I got the eGo just days after I got the original 510. Oh well, it's always good to have back up batts, just in case.

I'd also say, have a look at the eGo - saves you all this hassle with PTs and PCCs and all that, since you just don't need it. Battery life is that good, and the cone is very neat, too.

Also do read this posting: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-you-ever-wanted-know-about-your-510-a.html It will answer a lot of questions about the 510, and the eGo is a 510 with just a bigger battery and that neat cone.

A battery mod like the eGo is definitely the way to go if you like the 510 attys....and there is a lot to like about them. A standard 510 is a good place to start and let you discover if Vaping is for you without spending too much. But, if I had to repeat the experiance again myself....I would have gone straight to the eGo. And as with all 510's, if you learn how to clean and take care of your attys (ie wash, dry, burn) you'll be a happy lad/ladett disapearing in clouds of vapour each time you use it. :D

I have the 510 and it's a great pv, that being said after using it for 2 months now it is a PITA to change the batterys all the time. So I am considering buying a tornado, which is a 510 with a better battery! Plus all the 510 parts are inter-changeable with it. If it's your first device and your not sure if vaping is for you, then maybe start with the 510. Then after you try it out for a month or so, you can upgrade to the ego or tornado. Or you can just buy the tornado/ego first it's really up to you! Good luck & welcome to the forum.

If you think 510s are inconsistant, try 901s or 801s. Also, much of this alleged inconsistance stems from the fact that there is more than one manufacturer of 510s (and 901, and 801s), and their compatibility is … improveable.

Unless somebody knows what they are doing and why, I recommend sticking to Joye 510s. Usually, they are of good quality, although recently a bad batch was around. Seems to be mostly sold out, though, and a reputable vendor will replace any remnants of that batch anyway.

I love the 510 I got from cignot great deal and super fast shipping.

Yes his are VERY good, no cut off on the battery, cheap to buy, lightning fast shipping and the two batteries I got with the unit from him are the best 2 I have as far as lasting the longest. I think the little timers inside and all the blinking LEDs on the other models really puts an unnecessary drain on the batteries in general. Cignot batteries have never gotten hot or shorted. At $35 a set it is a great 510 to try before dumping money into one with a larger battery. Cheaper to get 4 batteries from Terry and save the money.

Just so you know because I did NOT until yesterday, Lit-ion batteries have no high low memory, so you can Vape for a few minutes and throw your battery right back on the charger. They do have a shelf life of 3 years MAX and many of only 2. So if your battery dies completely it was probably sitting around before it was shipped to you.

Search my post on questions on 510 models, I use 4 different ones and other then the small difference of no-cut off blinking LEDs I see no difference except $$$$

Out of all the members on here NO-ONE has even attempted to answer a single question I asked about how they are different......in the other post.
