I picked up a carto tank at a local B&M on a whim. I've wanted to try one and the price wasn't bad. I believe it is a 6ml stainless(chromed?) UDCT. It came with a dual coil 2 hole carto that read 2.1 ohm on my MVP2. I also bought a couple replacement cartos which I'm pretty sure are single coil, 1 hole types- I just put one in last night and it's 1.4 ohm. Both have the flange with the straight cut sides to lock into the tank.
On to my questions:
1. I changed cartos because I changed juice flavors, wasn't sure the hazelnut I had in there would mix well with the strawberry replaced it with... I put the used carto in a plastic bag and sucked the air out with a a straw. Will I be able to re-use that carto later?
2. The flavor is very muted compared to my other tanks (evod and iclear 30), is this "normal"? It also seems to add a subtle, rather unpleasant plastic taste. I'm assuming that could be the polyfill?
3. Will regular flanged cartos work in this tank? I know they would sit on top of the little locking section, but I think it would still seal at the top of the tank. The cut flange replacements are pretty expensive and I'm wondering if maybe another brand uses a different filler that doesn't mess with flavors as much.
I really like the look of the tank, the capacity compared to its size (almost exactly the same size as the iclear30 but holds twice as much? Magic!) and its apparent resistance to leaking. My biggest concern is the flavor.
