So I have a new tank on its way and it takes flanged cartos with the flange having two flat sides on the flange. I'm starting to shop around for replacement carto's and the only way I seem to be able to tell if the have the flat sides is to examine the pictures on the vendor's sites, which is the problem...most don't have the best pictures and stainless steel is highly reflective so tough to tell on some.

So here's my question...

Do flanged tank cartomizers with two flat sides have a exact name or title that I can search for to make sure I get the right ones?

I really don't want to buy some and they come completely round and don't fit in my tank.

So you know its a Totally Wicked Odyssey Tank and yes I know they state you should only use 'their' tank carto's, but I've read that a standard tank carto will work just fine other than having to be refilled earlier.

Bonus question...is there such a thing as Unpunched Flanged cartomizers? If so anyone have a place that sells them?

Those Odyssey carto's look strikingly similar to the Boge F16 Carto... Probably the same thing.

I've never heard of or seen a flanged, non-punched carto.

Edit: The flanges on the F16 have the squared section you're referring to. I've used them.

Also, looks like they're out of stock there, but you can find them at a number of places.

To be used in a cartotank, the cartomizer has to have holes. How else would the juice from the tank get into the cartomizer, right?

You could purchase a carto punch tool relatively inexpensively and make the holes yourself. Smoktech DCT Cartomizer Punch

Bad What do you think of the F16 tanks for a beginner to try as their first carto tank?

To be honest, I don't own one of those. I do know that the tube used in those is not safe with all flavors of juice.

My recommendation would be to get the polypropylene DCT cartotank that My Vapor Store sells. You'll get a tube that is safe to use with all flavors of juice, metal end caps, a drip tip, and choice of 5 pre-punched cartos in choice of ohm rating, number of holes, and single or dual coil cartos. Choice in color of tube, and either 3.5 ml or 6 ml capacity. Everything you need for $21.
