With all the issues not too long ago in the guns and ammo world, the vendors added an optional dollar donation for the NRA at check out.
Why wouldn't this work for CASAA and other e-cig organizations?

It would only be an optional dollar extra for the purchaser, no big deal.
The vendors would look really good by raising the funds.

I think it would be all sorts of win.

Any thoughts?

Only issue I would foresee is that the vendor would have to set up their checkout process so as not to include the $1 donation in the taxable amount.

I think this idea has come up before, and IIRC, Kristin said it was so difficult for the vendors to separate the charges and almost as difficult for CASAA to verify that it wouldn't be feasible.

I'd still like to see something like this happen, though.

Most vendors are vapers, no? As vapers, they are also consumers. I would think as vendors, they could collect donations or even use a popular liquid and put in their description (of that liquid) that $x.xx will be donated to CASAA. Then as a consumer, donate what they've gotten from just that one liquid.

Example: lets use Boba's ;)

If they even say $1.00 is donated to CASAA. It would be easy enough to figure out that if they sold 50 bottles of Boba's, $50 would be donated to CASAA as a consumer donation.

It could work if it was just kept to one liquid. Then it would be easier to figure out. Say $1.00 on their largest bottle. If its a popular flavor, most people buy it in the largest size.

Just another thought.

Great point. If your example comes to fruition, I'd buy bobas...and I'm not even a big fan of the stuff! :)

I believe JWraps does a few of their wraps with money donated to specific charities Autism and Breast Cancer come to mind though I haven't looked recently. SO there has to be a way to set it up. :)

LOL I'm talking EACH vendor have just one liquid that they will use for this. I just used Boba's since it is probably the one that has the most threads started about. I could have used Pluid as an example also

At two of the Vape Meets I helped plan, we took all the money from the raffle of kits and eliquid and donated it to CASAA. So I don't see how a vender couldn't do the same thing from donations. And even if the amounts collected could not be verified, does it really matter. I would say trust the venders and help CASAA financially.
