"A Journey from Faith to Knowing!"

I was to be discharged from the Navy in October of `64`. After two tours "In Country" it was great getting back to "The World". I had cash in my pockets, friends on the Beach, places to go and women to meet. California, what a place to wait out the time to discharge. I wanted a car to drive across the states on my way back home and being a Ford owner all of my short life, I decided to get the brand new, never before shown model of the up and coming 64 Mustang.

They normally come out in the Sept-Oct. months, but for some unforeseen reason, this year they came out early and were sold as 63&1/2 because it came out in May. I saw it ,I loved it, I bought it! It was a 289HPCI Fastback, competition Yellow 5spd. Wood trim interior, leather seats with galloping mustangs across the bucket seats and a full floor console. What a beauty and Really Fassssst. We [the "Stang" and I] were the hit of N.A.S.LeMoore.

There was a huge "going away party" for a friend of mine, off base, and I was running late. Several of the girls called the base to see what was keeping me and I told them I'd be headed out shortly. I jumped in the "Stang" and bolted out the gates headed to town on a clear, warm California night. The road was a two lane Highway almost "straight arrow" most of the way into town and I started to pour it on to make up time. There was no one on the road, no lights coming or going and I was doing 100+mph,just humming along. Had the Radio blasting, looking in my rear view mirror at the "Cutsie" stuffed Tiger resting in the back window, no cops, no worries and nothing but a good night on my mind. The road was flying by, the white dashes were almost a solid line and the world was mine. I was young, popular, educated and soon to be discharged like my friend tonight. What a great feeling.

I looked at the road ahead and for no reason at all I saw the front end of my car nose down and there were thousands of sparks flying past the fenders, they were beautiful sparkles of light flowing past the windshield with particles of blue, reds, and greens. It was a magnificent sight against the darkening skyline. At first I thought I had blown the engine but all the smoke and flames seemed to be coming up from the sides, where the wheels should have been and the increasing torrent of shimmering streams of rhinestone, crossing both fenders, appeared as a welder frantically sharpening the edge of a fine sword. Through all the smoke and sparks bellowing in front of me, some coming through the windows, I looked further down the road I was now tearing up at a frantic pace, and saw, in the far distance, a set of headlights coming in my direction. Just a pin ..... of light mind you, but getting brighter and stronger as I careened toward them and them toward me. I thought to myself, "Wow, are these people gonna really see something strange when I finally come to a stop. I must look like a Roman Candle right about now to them".

I had a NDE in 1977. I didn't talk about it for 20 yrs because I always heard others tell of 'going towards the light', etc. During the 90's NDE's came into vogue in the media, and I learned about 10% of persons experience what I did. The jury is still out as to wether there are medical reasons for these experiences, but to me it was real enough.

I O.D.'d and was headed into hell. I begged God to forgive me for a wicked life. As I was falling into that indescribeably terrible place, I heard a voice above me say, "Give him another chance." I was 'sucked' upwards, became conscious, and felt miserable as I detoxified in the E.R. Later I learned doctors had said that I'd died.

What's more intrigueing to me are the thousands of documented resurrections across the world. Many are found in the book 'Megashift', some dead for many days.

I heard one of the more notable ones speak on TV. He was a politician from a Southern state who was declared dead at an accident scene that state troopers were filmed giving CPR for over 3 hrs! He was taken to a hospital and given every possible life saving effort for 3 more hrs. All this because of his fame, but eventually Dr.'s gave up trying. His wife refused to let go & spoke a prayer of life into him. He came back alive to tell of visiting heaven. Since it had all been so well documented, he boldly spoke in public about it.

All I can say is, if it squares with scripture I believe it.

There was this guy that worked for my father a long time ago. He was heavily into drugs, used women and was just a complete jerk all the way around. He died of a drug overdose, but came back to tell about it. He went to hell, and it scared him so bad that he immediately turned his life over to Jesus and became a born again christian and completely changed everything about himself and his way of life.

There are alot of people who have very unpleasant and terrifying NDE's. I read this book called My Descent Into Death by Howard Stom. He died and visited hell too, and then heaven. It was an awesome book, I got it at my library, a short read, only took me a few hours to read it. Fascinating account, and his NDE was very involved and detailed.

Lisa, I'm undecided too. First, because he talked of living creatures on other planets. I don't believe in life being on any other planet but earth. I am rather narrow minded in that I don't believe in flying saucers. What are people experiencing all over creation? I believe in demonic foolery. I could be wrong and if I am, those creatures need a Savior too! Second, I had a problem with him calling Jesus an 'It.' He did change it to a 'Being.' That's perfectly fine. Usually, when I read these or listen to it, I can tell if it's 100%. I believe he believes it.

NuGalicia, I can tell yours is true. I've never had one. I've had a vision before, but not a NDE. Oh, and I also experieced angelic intervention, but I wasn't saved at that time. It almost took me forever to figure out what a NDE is!

Yea, I"m not 100% sure of it either, but it was interesting. I believe in aliens, but I think they are demons, or demon hybrid of somekind, like the Nephilim were back in Noah's day.
