Ok so here is my story. Let me start with a little bit of background and set the stage for you all. Im from st.louis and im a huge hockey fan. Earlier this year they moved the smoking section to the other side of the arena (one of the reason i changed to vaping). I have 4 tickets to every game and i love to bring my friends and let them bring their friends. Not everyone can afford to go to games so i like to share my fortune.

One day i invite a few vapor friends of mine assuming they will use good common sense. I know i know i should have know better than to assume anything but i gave them the benefit of the doubt. At games i like to vape and when i exhale i blow the smoke either into the sleeve of my jersey or down the collar or i just ghost vape it. One of my friends followed my example while the other decided he didn't care what anyone thought and was blowing vape rings and clouds of smoke right up into the air. Several people complained to an usher.

Now thanx to one bad apple vaping is now banned at scott trade center and i now have to walk halfway around the stadium to vape. Intermission is just long enough to walk there take a few toots and walk back.

P.S. I have tried to get the rule changed but to no avail. This friend will now not be enjoying the playoff games with me. Hope he learned a valuable lesson and will stop drawing so much attention to himself in public places were a could of vapor could be an annoyance.

P.S.S. Lets Go Blues!!!

This is disappointing. Going to Blues/Rams/Cards games and not having to go outside to smoke is one of the things I was looking forward to now that I am vaping. I used snus in the past and guess I will just continue to do that. Sounds to me like your buddy deserves an Agent Gibbs head smack.

I'm afraid that a few years will either result in outlawing or legalization of vaping nationwide. Right now, it's looking like state by state, it's being included by name along with cigarettes in county and statewide bans. Every time a community passes a smoking ban with ecigs called out by name, we lose a little power.

I want to see medical nicotine products banned similarly if ecigs can't be used in public. The only trouble there is that nicotine inhalers obtained through medical sources don't make noticeable vapor. I stealth vape in public and blow it down across my shirt unless I'm outside. I vape 100% PG in public to limit the vapor. Those who blow smoke rings and create huge exhales are a problem. Conduct like that will get us kicked out of public places in short time. If it looks like a duck, it's probably a duck to those who hate cigarettes.

When I'm in public I try to vape a fruity flavor, so that if someone sees me blowing vapor, it smells so good they don't complain. I was at the bar recently and someone was saying something about me vaping, so I told them check out how it smells, and smelled the green apple ejuice I had, and they thought it was cool. Next thing I know I'm having a discussion with about 5 people about how ecigs helped me quit tobacco cigarettes. Now they want one forbade friend or family member to help them quit.

The reality is that the only bad apples to blame here are the ones that put the ban in place. Sooner or later someone would have caught on to what you were doing not matter how sneaky you might be. You cannot know whether the rule change was made in response to your friends. For all you know, someone saw you and the rule was being reviewed well before the incident you think caused it. It probably would have been asked about you too once you were noticed and you would have been. Sneaking does not make what we are doing any more or less acceptable.

this is not correct. I do infact know that it was ok before. I have been sitting in the same seats almost my whole life. I have become very good friends with ushers, security, guest services... I was told that until that day noone had ever complained about it, but they could not allow peoples views of the game to be obstructed without punishment which led to the rule change. I had been seen vaping plenty of times before that. In fact i had gotten two security guards and an usher to switch to ecigs. Not only were people happy to let me vape they were hoping that everyone would so they wouldn't have to assign so many employees to the parking lot smoking section lol. It is a shame and people NEED to use there heads when vaping. Being alowed to vape places is a privalidge not a right and we need to treat that privalidge with respect and not take it for granted.

Pretty much every new smoking ban attempt that comes up these days initially includes electronic cigarettes.
And thanks to the efforts of CASAA and the rest of us vapers, electronic cigarettes have been purposely removed from almost all of them.

There are powerful and influential people who are purposely trying to stop electronic cigarette use.
They are using propaganda techniques and outright lies in order to get what they're after.

But we are using truth to educate those who will be voting, and it is working.
Vaping is being purposely REMOVED from far more smoking bans than it is being added to.

Having said that, vaping is banned in every sports venue I know of, and that is not the least bit surprising.
Blowing clouds of vapor in front of people who are trying to watch something is just simply not a cool thing to do.
