I have the eGO-C. Overall, I like it... the flexibility of the tanks is great (easy to change juices). But, the tanks are starting to leak a bit, and I've started to feel the flavor is somewhat muted.

So, I picked up some Boge 2.0 cartomizers to try. Wow... indeed the flavor is much richer and I like the hotter vapor.

But, they are not without some issues. The first fill is a pain. I'm using the condom method to start, then finishing with the drip-thermometer shake-drip-thermometer shake routine. Then, after that, they seem to need constant topping off and really suck through the juice. The EGO-C tanks are easier here... I can refill them in the morning and vape through my workday on that 1ml of juice.

So, I was wondering if the experts could help with some questions I have...

1. Are all the Boge 2.0 cartomizers the same size? I got mine through Litecig, they are about 2" long and about 1/2" around. I ask this because I noticed on Vaporkings site they have Boge 2.0 as well, but say something about theirs are "not the tiny ones sold on other websites". Not sure what that means?

2. Any recommendations on an XL/XXL cartomizer that is cost-effective (read: cheap) and come in 5-packs? I'm probably not looking for more than a 2 or 2.5ml capacity, and want something that is efficient on the juice....so I'm thinking the dual-coil cartos like the Smoketeks are probably out. Also, is a clear carto helpful to see how much juice is remaining?

3. Finally, are the CE2 clearomizers a decent option? I hear so many mixed reports on these...some people love them, others hate them. They seem logical, and appear (on the surface) to be a good compromise between a traditional poly-filled cartomizer and my Ego-C tank.... easy to fill and clean and I hear they provide good warm vapor (with the atty on top and all).

If it helps, I'm mainly running Pink Spot (around 50vg/50pg I think and quite thick) and BWB juices right now.

Thanks in advance for your help and guidance!

Crystal Clear Vaping Crystal Clear Vaping has the Resurrector 1.7 ohm as well as the BOGE, both LR & SR and good prices in lots of 15, and everything is shipped free. Also worth considering, you could use standard resistance cartos and you'd use less juice, but of course you'd get less vapor. If you have a juice you're happy vaping all day I'd suggest getting a few of those monster 5 ml cartos made for the eGo, or if not just pre-fill several cartos of your choice & swap 'em out when the flavor/vapor begins to wane. Different strokes, but personally I'm not ready to trust a tank or a plastic carto... but YVMV. Happy Vaping!

The CE2 Carto

I like them, but I also like the other stuff. It mainly depends on the liquid, situation, and my mood.

I prefer the Vision Extreme make of them at this time because I don't need any tools to fill them. Those come in a few different sizes these days.

I still have a decent stash of Rev. 5 XL Steel sleeved CE2 (Fluxomizers). Some of them I've been vaping sporadically for over 6 months now! My only beef with those is they do need a tool or two to get them filled, and some of them took a few fills before they really started working/tasting at their prime.

Some liquids I'd still much rather vape through a dual coil, or a good ole Boge vertical coil carto. I've also got some liquids I won't put in anything but an 801/302 atty (dripped).

Really, it's mostly subjective on flavor/taste. For fiddly factor...it varies.

On the go, I'm still finding a Vision Extreme with the right liquid in it hard to beat. They work well at lower voltages (eGo, Riva, etc.). I top it off once a day and run with it. They'll usually last several weeks (the one I'm using now has lasted through over 12 ounces of an all PG liquid and still works quite well). The shortest I've had one last was 2 weeks...and it went bad due to my own user error.

To me the CE2 top coil stuff has a much more moderate throat hit than a vertical coil filler based carto. The vape (or something about the over all experience) comes across as feeling more 'wet' to me than a filler based carto. That's why I say with some liquids, it really shines and brings out the best of the liquid, and with some, I'd much rather use a different carto or atty type.

Thanks for this tip, I hadn't heard of this site. The Resurrectors look nice and the price is right... I'll check these out.

Thanks for this as well. As a newbie to this world of vaping, it's always good to build up a list of sites that have good products that other recommend. I didn't know that there were clearomizers that didn't require tools (a syringe) to fill. This is handy, as it's awkward to whip out a syringe to top something off while at work! I'll check these out as well.

Boges are wonderful, but they are small unfortunately. I can't wait, myself, to try a Resurrector.

About the filling, I find that using the syringe method is by far less messy and faster than anything else. Sure, thicker juices requie a little more patience, but it's still better with a syringe. I use a 5 ml syringe and 18 gauge needles. Now I just take off the dripper tips off the bottles completely, but you can stick the needle through the tips if you really want to. There are a bunch of videos on this method on Youtube, but here's my own variation for what is worth:

I insert the needle between the filler and the carto wall, and I inject about 0.3 ml, then I take it out and inject ~0.3 ml in a different spot and then do it again in yet another spot. It is vital to have a condom at the battery end. When the filler becomes slushy or liquid comes up through the center hole, I stop, wait a little bit for some liquid to be absorbed, and then I draw back on the plunger. If you haven't moved the needle at all, then the liquid will be sucked back from the center hole and the filler becomes less slushy as well. I inject again until the filler is slushy then draw back maybe three times. For thicker liquids, I let them soak longer before I draw back. After that, I suck some air through the carto with the condom still on the back end. This seems counter-intutive, but you don't get liquid in your mouth; in fact, any liquid that's left in the center hole is sucked into the filler. You may need to then blow once through the battery end to remove any leftover liquid from the center hole. After a few tries, I got this down to where the carto is always filled with about 1.1-1.2 ml and there is never any gurgling.

The Ressurectors are awesome and give a great vape. They hold a tad bit over 2ml of juice(about twice as much as a Boge) so they last a pretty long time before needing a refill. I would def give them a try and the free shipping from CCV is def nice, and if you get a 15-pack you get a free drip tip. Dont forget to put in "ecf5off" too for 5% off the order.

If you want to be able to refill even less, try one of the Smoktech 3.5ml tanks. CCV sells them for about $10 and they work really well. It comes with a dual coil carto in it but I hate dual coils at lower voltages so I took that carto out and use the Ressurectors instead, which work a LOT better. CCV sells pre-punched Ressurectors if you dont want to punch your own and they come with the metal base on them like the carto that comes with the tank. I like the 3.5ml tank bc it allows me to go all day without needing a refill, yet its still small enough that I can carry my PV with the tank on it in my pocket easily.
This is what the Ressurectors look like and what the Smoktech 3.5ml tank looks like.
I use an E-Power which is similar in size to an eGo, but alittle fatter. photo2.jpgphoto3.jpg
