Ego T with Dual Coil 510 3.5 ml tank

I just go my new ego T with pass through today. I love it with my 2.0 boge cartomizers. I also order a tank from vapes right
here http://www.madvapes.com/Dual-Coil-510-Tank-Cartomizer-35ml_p_3368.html I'm questioning the ohms ratio. I'm under the impression that the ego is best with 2 ohm cartomizers, but the tank that I ordered comes with a 1.6 ohm atomizer. Is this going to be a problem such that I need to order a 2 ohm replacement atomizer? Thanks for your time.

well here is the problems you are using a dual coil set up when in all actuality a dual coil shouldn't be used on less then 5v

DCC's work just fine on eGos

With a DCC, you effectively can do the math by simply taking the Ohms and double them...
So a 1.6 DCC has an equivalent resistance of 3.2

Yes 3.2 is a bit high for a 3.4v eGo, but it WILL work just fine.

try it, you may like it. it will work and since you have them coming, you can let us know if you prefer lr 2.0 or DCC1.5. Personally I prefer the 2.0-2.2 on my standard egos.

I disagree with this. If I understand things right the DCC's have two 3.2 Ohm coils put in parallel rendering 1.6 Ohms resistance at the connection. IF the coils are wired in series, then the resistance would double as you have stated, but I believe the coils are in parallel.


I use Smoketech 1.5Ohm DCC's on an eGo and it works just fine, actually provides a great vape. Now I am curious, I am going to go grab my Multimeter. BRB

I've used DCC with my ego with no problems. As a matter of fact, I bought an ego kit from Mad Vapes that came with dual coil cartos.

I just metered a CCV Dual Coil Carto and it metered 1.7 Ohms. I hope this helps.

I tried it out on my ego-t. If you look at my attachment you will see that madvapes's business card show proper ohm ratios. The tank works fine with my product. But I find it best to hold the button until I hear a sizzle then start vaping. I ordered the ego mega tank too for comparison. Happy vaping.

After a few vapes I found that this tank, as others suggested, is probably best for vv vaping. I don't believe that I am getting the throat hit that I thought it would be giving me with my ego-t. It works, but not as well as one might expect. Any thoughts?
