Enjoying day #2 very much!

If you have time... I'd appreciate any feedback...

These are the questions I still have after doing some of my own research on the site.

Questions:

1. I seem to get more vapor and a stronger throat hit with my manual battery over my automatic... is it the battery or the flavor cart?

2. The whole PG/VG thing. Is it a flavor/vapor trade-off?

3. Is it okay for me to drip in my empty carts or top off others and use an automatic battery... or is this dripping/topping off more recommended for manual batts?

Thanks. LT

1.) I have no idea because I have never tried a manual.

2.) From what I understand pg has more flavor, and vg has more vapor. So yes.

3.) Yes it works for both.

With a manual device, you control the burn of the cartomizer/atomizer. With most automatic batteries there is a cutoff of 5 to 7 seconds. Therefore if you feel your getting more vapor/flavor most likely you are holding the button down longer than your automatic switches cutoff. I only have the automatic vaporking, and it gives great vapor before it cuts off. Yet my much bigger Prodigy has a manual switch and would fry my tonsils if i did not let go of the switch. So i think as far as that question goes, that might be the answer.

I prefer PG because of the flavor...yet i know VG burns/atomizes faster hence more vapor.

Dripping really is a manual only thing, because unless the device has a barrier between the battery and the atomizer(like most manual mods) liquid can get into the battery and make the automatic switch get stuck on or off and ruin them. So unless you got a mod, or are really careful i wouldn't drip with an automatic device IMHO.

It is the battery I believe. My carts get hotter with manual batteries. More heat more flavor.

2. The whole PG/VG thing. Is it a flavor/vapor trade-off?
VG is a major vapor producer. PG flavors even have some VG. Some people are sensitive to PG so the VG only carts are all they can use. I have noticed there is less flavor in VG juice.

3. Is it okay for me to drip in my empty carts or top off others and use an automatic battery... or is this dripping/topping off more recommended for manual batts?
Because the auto batteries are open where the carto connects you have to be very careful to not overfill with juice. There can be a problem with juice getting into the battery with auto's when you overfill a cart. I have both batteries and try to be careful with refilled carts on auto's. It isn't a major problem but if you have an overfilled carto you would want to use a manual if you have it, or better yet blow a bit of the juice out. Sucking on an overfilled carto is going to leave you with juice in your mouth :nah:

Thanks. LT

Hope that helps some :)

1. I prefer auto batteries because I'm inherently lazy. But with a manual, you get vapor the moment you start to draw if you push the button on the way to your mouth. With an auto, you have to draw a little air in to activate the switch, so it won't start the atomizing process until you've already got some air through it into your mouth. So you get a more even vape with a manual overall.

2. PG is the standard base for most companies, and is virtually tasteless. VG has a taste to it and doesn't last as long in storage. I'd recommend using PG unless you are sensitive to it. VG doesn't last as long in the carto because it burns faster, which uses more juice per draw. It's great for vapor, but you get minimal TH off it as well.

3. As long as you are careful, refilling cartos works fine on an auto. I mostly just refill cartos to save money, and strictly use auto batteries.. Have yet to gunk one up.

Another newbie question...how long should I use a cart before switching out to avoid that yucky burnt taste? I hope to refill the carts with all of the great juices I ordered! I just switched over from GS and one of several reasons was the quick to burn carts.

the carts last a while but when I get even a hint of burn I just swap it then when I get a bunch of empties Ill sit for about an hour and refill them all...but I also have about 100+ carto's so I usually go a while before the refills

yup, and a lot of 'pg' flavs have some vg in the mix for better vape. i'm the same as sim, as soon as taste drops off at all, i top off or refill.

i get better vape with manuals, personally, for reasons others have already covered.

& topping off/refilling with autos is okay... if you are neat and careful. i just prefer manuals anyway and since i top off frequently when i'm working, i prefer to have a sealed battery, too.
