Hi there,

I've been vaping for close to a month now ... and really enjoy it. I am, however, confused about a few things.

I have a penstyle PV ... which, even though it is private labeled, is an 801. Is this assumption correct?

I also have a "super mini" which I really like for its smallness ... but which requires a lot of recharging so I tend to use this only at home. Is there a comparable style/model number for the super-mini?

While in the US recently, I purchased an njoy Npro at a 7/11 store. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it ... and it introduced me to the concept of cartomizers [a subject I previously found confusing]. Anyone know what sort of cartomizers I would order for this model?

And on the subject of cartomizers, having had the atomizer of the penstyle PV die on me while I was away, I like the idea of using the penstyle batteries be able to utilize cartomizers. I haven't found cartomizers for the 801 [or penstyles in general] ... but I have seen an adapter which I think "converts" the 801 to a 510 ... and there are 510 cartomizers. That seems a simple solution ... but perhaps I'm over-simplifying things?

I am in Canada, so I don't know if things like empty cartomizers can be shipped and not be stopped by Customs, but I'm sure that with all the Canadian suppliers, I should be able to order what I need within Canada. I just need some direction!

Thanks for any help ...

Hi, Mary :) I'll attempt to answer what I can in Bold:

Yes, the model number dictates what the thing actually is.

I also have a "super mini" which I really like for its smallness ... but which requires a lot of recharging so I tend to use this only at home. Is there a comparable style/model number for the super-mini?

There are lots of super mini's, I'd need to know what it's called or a model number.

While in the US recently, I purchased an Njoy Npro at a 7/11 store. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it ... and it introduced me to the concept of cartomizers [a subject I previously found confusing]. Anyone know what sort of cartomizers I would order for this model?

I think it's just as simple as that, yes. e-Cigarette thread adapters

My understanding is that they only stop e-liquid, but I don't know for sure. I'm not sure where the Canadians get stuff from, sorry...

on re-read, that thing about the penstyle being an 801... IS it an 801? or are you assuming it's an 801 based on the fact that it's a penstyle, because, again, there are lots of penstyles. Do you have a brand name or link?

Saying "penstyle" or "super-mini" is equivalent to saying "sedan" or "pickup truck"; it does not indicate in any way either brand or model number or size/function/compatibility.

Good luck! :)

Thanks Rosa & McCawley,

My penstyle doesn't have a number ... it was an assumption I was making based upon what the 801 looked like in pictures. I got both my super mini and my penstyle from epuffer.com [Canadian branch].

Here is a link to the actual penstyle model:

Electronic Cigarette - ePuffer Elite Classic E-Cigarette Starter Kit with bonus!

Here is a link to the actual super-mini model [although mine wasn't that expensive and is all black]:

Electronic Cigarette by ePuffer | Original Super Mini E-Cigarette Starter Kit

I find myself getting very confused reading about specific PVs ... and about all I can tell you is that the battery on my Penstyle is threaded "male" ... and the battery on my super-mini is threaded "female".

I would like to try to use the batteries I already have, rather than making another battery purchase just now.

Thanks again

Mary

super-mini - no idea what model it is. There are many tiny ecigs. Could be a Chinese wholesaler model trio, or an M403, or many others. What is the name of your super-mini?

Njoy 2-piece from 7-11 is Njoy Npro (you can buy carts and parts there) and its model is RN4081 - not a lot available at retail for RN4081 - search for RN4081 and 4081 at AZSmokeFree and VaporKings.com (unrelated to the Vapor4Life Vapor King). The second one did have some blank cartos for Rn4081 but somebody said they were out of stock recently. Both also have the parts to make RN4081 a 2-piece (atomizer and cartridges). A more popular 2-piece is KR808D-1 also sold by Vapor4Life and Bloogplanet. You may be able to find an adapter for RN4081 to KR808D-1 aka 808

You might want to look at 510 at Happy Vaper. The standard 510 is quite small if you use standard blank cartomizers (I use Boge soft-cap cartos) instead of the atomizer and cart. It's a bit fatter than a super mini but slimmer than KR808D-1.

Thanks Rosa! You're amazing! I have had so much trouble and confusion trying to research the stuff I already have ... and I was getting so frustrated.

At some point, I will probably want to get other hardware ... but for the moment I'd like to master what I have. I do refill my cartridges for the penstyle one ... and find that to be more convenient than I had expected.

In my area, I am the only one who actually has a PV. When I was filling in at the office, two employees came up to me and asked questions ... because while they had heard about e-cigs ... they hadn't encountered anyone who actually had one ... until me. Therefore, ECF is my soul source of valid "user" information ... but there are so many models ... and so many terms with which I am unfamiliar ... it makes my head spin! LOL

Thank you for clarifying the model numbers that I have!

Mary
