Hey, I'm about to order an Aspire Nautilus Mini, 5 authentic BVC Replacement coils and an iStick 30w from fasttech (all are "authentic" products). However as I addressed in another thread you must pay with bitcoin so to bypass that you have to claim for a gift certificate.

Now, onto the gift certificate. From what I understand you must purchase items from them with a total the same or higher than the original intended item. In this case it would be $55.28 so I've added some other e-cig items that you can buy using PayPal or Visa which total up to $55.88. Now, the questions.

Firstly, should I pay using PayPal or Visa? I've read a few things online about ordering "electronic cigarette" equipment etc via PayPal and if an issue arises then a refund may not be honored due to these being prohibited items *apparently*, as a precaution should I just use Visa? Secondly, will the gift certificate definitely be provided instantly as I'm in the UK? In the UK you cannot "buy" gift certificates directly from them but I'm pretty sure this method works. Can anybody confirm? Lastly, and this is a very broad question not directly linked to vaping or fasttech, will I pay import duty? In all my life I've never had to pay import duty from a foreign country even after buying shoes and other items in excess of over $100+ (£60+) but I've been warned about it.

Any information would be great as I'm looking to order it within a few hours and really don't want to mess up with my purchase haha, cheers!

I've ordered a handful of things from FastTech using PayPal and had no issues at all. Of course, I haven't tryed to return anything for a refund either.
I don't know anything about the gift cards, but I have not had to pay any import duty taxes on any of my orders. I'm in the U.S., and things may be different for you. I hope all works out for you xVape. Good luck with your purchase.

The only question I can answer is use paypal with fasttech. I tried using VISA once but it didn't work (my bank flagged it as suspicious).

I've never used a gift certificate with fasttech and there is no import duty to the US.

Ah sorry, I didn't make it clear in my original post, I'm from the UK which is the issue. But I'll give it a go, thanks for the advice!

No panic...

You buy something with paypal/visa/anything!
You cancel the order and get a gift certificate.
You choose something else, put in the "code" and it's done. The original 'payer' won't even know.

I tried to use a bank card once and they wanted a photograph. Um... that's a NO.

Sorry, I did notice you were in the UK. I should have worded my last sentence better to mean I don't know about import duties as I'm in the US. Best of luck!

Thanks for all the help guys, order has been placed. Hopefully it's only a week but I reckon it might be up to two for delivery. Awesome, cannot wait to be vaping with my new gear!

Well, despite the huge recommendations for PayPal, I did infact pay using Visa. Everything seems to have went well which is great, only downside is I have to wait 2 or more weeks for my products due to the iStick taking 7+ days to be dispatched, ugh. Oh well, I guess I'll have to buy another 2 coils for my current e-cig and wait it out!

I buy stuff all the time using Pay Pal. Most recently I bought an Orchid V6 base ,(because I really need the post holes because of my messed up lefy hand,
.) several Bell caps, a coil jig, and a Orchid chimney.

I never saw an Orchid base with bottom fill option like the Kayfun lite and Goblin Mini.

We placed an order with Fasttech and it took over a month to get the order and some of the merchandise packaging was opened and crunched. Would never order from them again.

I'm sure Fasttech didn't do that. Everything I got from them has been perfect so far.

I would be willing to bet that Customs in your country was guilty of that instead of fasttech.

my one and last order from FastTech took four months to arrive and I only live in southern California!!!! I was so upset after a couple of months came and went and I just couldn't wait on my order any more, I ended up buying the same thingso online in the states and it was delivered from my U.S. order about 5 days later. when my stuff finally did trickle in from FastTech I noticed the quality of the items from the U.S. online order was a LOT BETTER than fast tech quality. I decided that was my LAST fast tech order. it just wasn't worth the wait for poor quality products.FOUR months is a RIDICULOUS amount of time to wait!! FastTech DID aplogise to me saying they "accidently" shipped my items over a cargo ship and it took longer.I did appreciate the apology and explanation, however I've not ordered again from them due to the quality of their merchandise and time it takes to recieve the items! I Sincerely hope you have a better experience than I did. As far as a duty cost, that will depend on your country. it is possible.so be prepared. Best wishes and keep us informed as to what is happening with your order. best wishes

While it may have been custom that damaged the packaging it took over a month to get the package

One thing you don't know is how long the parcel sat on the docks before opened for customs inspection.

I'm not trying to persuade you to order from fasttech again. Just trying to get you to see it was not all Fasttech's fault.

I bought an authentic Cthulhu V2 on eBay in September. It was supposed to be delivered October 1-15. Oct 15 came and went and I contacted the seller and Customs had flatly refused my parcel and shipped it back because of some reason. They shipped it back to me and I got it last Saturday.

No I haven't opened the package. I am waiting for my Billow V2 Nano. That should have been here yesterday or today. left New Jersey 4 days ago. After my problem with the Bellus; I'm leery about top filled devices.

I've been ordering from Fasttech pretty regularly for about two years now. I've only tried to use a credit card once, and just like @Btsmokincat it got flagged, so I only use PayPal now.

I'm in the US, and I am averaging about three weeks from order placement to mailbox, but I only order items that are in stock or ships next day. They've been pretty good about getting the packages out the door.

I can't speak to UK customs, but I have had packages sit in US customs for as much as 9 days (in one instance only) before getting turned over to the postal service.

I have yet to pay an import duty fee, but none of my purchases have been over $90 USD, and they're usually around $40 or so, give or take a few dollars. I know the UK has different rules about import duty fees. You may have to pay a VAT and/or duty fee if the goods are over a certain value:

https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty

Best of luck!

I recently made my first order at FastTech. Two separate purchases actually. I placed one order on 10/21 and then decided I wanted a few other things and placed another order on 10/22. That was Wednesday and Thursday. FastTech shipped my order on Monday (very fast in my opinion). But both packages have been sitting in a sorting facility since then. Maybe the info just hasn't been updated! Strangely, one of the orders status changed yesterday to - Received from customer - not really sure what that means. And the posting date and status date changed from 10/26/15 to 2/11/15! So we'll see.
