So I got my 510 a week ago and haven't had a real cig yet... Happy with the experence and product but I have a few questions.
First, I got 3 atomizers with it. Should I rotate them or use the same one until it dies and then switch? How long will it last on average?
Is their a place I can get carts with a type of mod already inside? I was thinking of trying the straw or pyramid mod but it seems that someone would already be selling a better cartrage somewhere.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on kicking the habits.

Regarding atomizers, I think that the best way to do it would be to rotate 2. When you are cleaning one you can use the other.

I am not aware of anyone selling pre modded carts.

If you're using more than one flavor I'd recommend using a different atty for each flavor. You don't have to, it just makes it easier. Atty lifespan? Well it varies greatly. I'd say 2-3 weeks is a rough average but some people gets months of use while other get less. I'd suggest just making sure you have enough backups because at some point they will die, don't wait until they do to order more.

Carts.... There are so many factors that effect cart mod effectiveness (i.e. type of material, quantity, juice thickness, etc.) My suggestion is to try out Highpings Simple Cart Mod (as you already have the necessary supplies) and then if you want over time you can try some of the others. Some suppliers do sell some supplies but I don't remember seeing anyone selling carts already modded (I've never looked though).

I use attys until the performance drops (making sure it's not just flooded) and then soak it in 151 vodka for an hour - switch out for a new atty - after the soak, blow it out, dry it out and then put a few drops of pg on the bridge and put it in a lock 'n lock airtight - ziplock would do - bleed out the air. The point being dry attys die - so the few drops of pg helps keep it moist and the airtight container won't dry it out. Again, continue until the new one shows a performance drop then switch out with the other new one, repeat, etc. etc. So far the only attys I've lost in 10 months have been the ones I killed either burning them out on a 5 volt ;-) or doing dry burns or overcleaning.
