I'd narrowed my down next upgrade to be either an SVD or a Provari. Since my budget allows it, I figured I may as well get a top-end device if I can find a reasonable one. I have a few questions before I start looking with intent, though.

1) I have a feeling it doesn't, but if I buy a Provari from someone (say, in the classifieds section) does the warranty transfer? Or, even if it doesn't, will they still service it despite me not being hte original owner?

2) Is there any buzz about a version 3 yet? Or, more importantly, do we know if they'll be offering the surprisingly inexpensive upgrade when it finally does, as they did with v1 => v2?

3) I've seen some people saying that provaris don't work too well with iclear 30's because of some of the built-in safety measures. They're my clearo of choice, so I was wondering what the deal is with them as I've not seen specific details as to whether or not they're able to be tweaked to work optimally. If I'm dropping the dough to get a provari, I can safely say a good rba is not in my immediate future (unless a clone works almost as well.... that's a slightly different matter as, admittedly, I've not browsed too many reviews about them yet)

4) How can I see a complete list of blemished products that they have on-hand? Currently under "clearance" they don't seem to have any listed, but I went to a direct link that someone posted the other day and it seems that they do have some black satin ones available. I'm just a bit confused about how their listing of them works, I guess. I have a feeling this is going to lead to one of those "Oh, duh!" moments.

5) I know I had a 5th, but it's slipped my mind at the moment. I'll edit it in or add a post if it comes back to me :p

Thanks in advance for any helpful comments/suggestions/insights :thumb:

0Welcome Camden! I know people will chime in with lots of good information for you, but here's some info to get you started

1. Oops. Topwater says they don't honor the warranty. I'm surprised. However, they will service it at very reasonable prices and the turn around is quick. You can find their prices on their website.

2. I wouldn't hold your breath for a V3.0. It seems to be a rumor that keeps popping up lately but it's just that. Depending on what the changes were, they may or may not be able to offer an upgrade. If they were able to do so, I'd guess that they'd offer it at a reasonable price. But that's all just supposition.

3. Some people don't know what they're talking about about the iclear 30s. One of the people I expect to chime in really likes them. I'm going to get one or two to try top coils. I have Protanks & Hypertanks.

4. I don't know how you got a list of blemished products. I've only seen the clearance section and agree, it seldom has any listed. Check the classifieds. They show up there and several people have gotten a good deal on one!

Good luck in your quest! Happy vaping!

Are you asking about iclear 30's as in plural or the new iclear 30s. If it is the iclear 30 I use them almost exclusively on my Provari and just got in the mail a new iclear 30s so if it's that one I will let you know.

I don't have anything to add, except that the clearance page seems to go in waves. Nothing for weeks and then bam! You have to remember they are "blemished" in some way and I'm sure ProVape tries very hard not to screw things up. I think we should be seeing more 2.0s up soon. I'm sure they still have inventory, but are trying to phase them out for the 2.5 design (in fact, they only kept offering the 2.0 for as long as they did, since current owners - who as we know buy more - were very resistance to give up the 2.0 pattern). My guess is they will try to clear some out before holiday shopping starts to really get going.

ETA: Regarding a version 3: If you look closely, most of the time you see a version 3 mentioned is by people who don't own ProVaris. The statements are generally things like, "ProVape is behind the times a version 3 should be out sometime soon;" "Version 3 will have variable wattage;" "I won't buy one until it has VW and still probably won't, since it's overpriced," blah, blah, blah

Keep in mind that ECF members are not the customers they are targeting. In the real world ProVape sells to people like my friends: they want something well-made, durable, and a company that will repair it if there is a problem. I tell them how much I love mine, they buy one and tell their friends. They don't know variable wattage from a vole and couldn't care less. ProVape will sell more units if they come out with cool colors than they will with VW.

Notably, the last time I posted something similar to the above, I said there was a better chance of a green ProVari than VW and I posted the picture below, which I made almost a year ago. It wasn't a month after my post that the Zombie was announced. Check out the shade of green - I feels sighkick.

Welcome Camden..I know I've stated this before in another thread, but receiving my SVD is what convinced me to order my first ProVari. Please understand this is only my humble opinion, there is NO comparison. I do have the Innokin MVP & have been very pleased with the quality of that model.

Wishing you happy vapes on whatever you chose....:vapor:

When available, the blems are a good deal. I have had one since February and still have not found the blem. Then I bought one at full price, and one on the classified. All 3 are worth the money.

I do not really worry about no warranty on the last one because I will probably not need it. And I can still get it fixed if I need to, for a fee.

Thanks for the information guys! I read up a bit more on the iclear30s; people are saying that it seems like sometimes the pin doesn't make the greatest contact, but I'm sure that's an easy fix. Now the question is whether or not I wait to see if I can get a set straight from provape or give in to the temptation to buy the provari + tons of addons on the classifies section. Meh ~____~

Curious where you read that? Was it here, or another forum? I haven't had a problem with mine.

best regards, larry mac

Ah sorry, misread what you were quoting. Most of it was here yes; this is the only ecig forum I use. The two "common" problems I read about, though, also had resolutions along with them, so all should be grand
