A First Post Question! How Original!

Hello ECF, this is my first post so I figure I'd use it for something useful, mainly trying to figure out something that has been bugging lately.

I've recently purchased some of Got vape's CE3s and have been loving them on my manual SI volt 78mms, but they seem to only fit on certain batteries. I have three different 78mms and two CE3s currently in use. One CE3 will fit and work on two, while the other will only fit on one battery. I've cleaned the threads on all my batteries but have not noticed any changes in performance, and my meager lurking/googling hasn't provided me with a solution. The battery that doesn't work with any of the CE3s (so far), I should mention, has been put through quite a bit of clearo leaking (Got Vape's top coil clearos, imo, are terrible!), but I thought I did an okay job of cleaning.

If anyone knows a fix to this or can point me in the right direction I'd be very appreciative.

P.S. This community is awesome. I haven't touched an analogue in two weeks, thanks in large to this forum. Thank you guys for all the information you provide!

Welcome! I would assume you use all 510 connectors? Some times the center pin on the battery needs to be pulled out a little, 1mm ish or so to make contact. Pry the batteries center gently up and reseat, might work for ya. We call it pulling the center post. Good luck and stay off the stinkies!!!

All of Smokeless Image's gear are 808-threaded.

To the OP, check to make sure that all of the Got Vapes ce3's have the same threading. I imagine mistakes sometimes happen in the stock room; worth checking out more closely that you didn't get some 510 threaded ones by accident.

Ya, you will have much more compatibility with the 510 connection. 808 are also 901, one in the same and are not as popular as the 510. Oh ya, you could always check the center pin on the clearo also...

Will do, but I'm pretty sure they're 808 threaded...I mean they both work with at least one battery.

Agree on the center post possibly being the culprit and just wanted to say welcome to the forum.

Looking into this...just saw a video on it. Any tool suggestions? In the video a guy had what looked like a dentists metal pick, and I'm afraid I don't have any of those lying around.

Thanks for the all suggestions and welcomes!

OK. The other thing that happens... connectors wear. I had a box mod that took some atties/cartos but not others...the threads were worn or it was an "iffy" connector. When I switched mods, it worked with all. So...not all connectors are created equal. And not all cartos are either. Hence, sometimes you get a set that's too far out of spec each way or is worn and it won't work.

I think this might be it. I took a pair of metal tweezers very lightly through the threads of the one battery that didn't work for any of the clearos and found some notched section, right at the end where I suspect it catches and won't let anything get on further. Tomorrow I'll 'borrow' a few paper clips from work and see if I cant fiddle around with the other battery's center post.

Thanks everyone again for your help. Such an amazing forum!
