TT: correct. I'm not doing anything different.

Ok, so talk to me about cartomisers. I have a bog standard ego (not the tank, tried it, but didn't like it). Are they refillable? Where do I get them? Do I need a syringe to fill them or is it dripped in like carts?

I'm open to options. I hate this feeling, and I so don't want to smoke! I used nic lozenges this afternoon and when I got home I hooked one of my hubby's analogues.

I just want my flavours back!!!!!!

I've seen that our friends at FSUSA sell cartomisers. It says only 1 per order. So this is a question for david and Pam: if these guys convince me this might solve my problem, do you think I could get that waived and get more than one? If only because I a) am lovely and b) unfortunately have huge postage costs and long delivery times due to my location in the back of beyond and so can't just order "as needed".

Thanks everyone, looking forward to your advice.

(God I love this sub forum)

I've never used an ego - is that a 510 or 808 threaded connection?

FSUSA does have cartos and you can fill them with a syringe (my preference) or the condom method. I didn't see anything about "one per order" and went ahead and made a dummy order with 10 packages of cartos and it accepted it, so I think you can get all you want.

The reason I don't care for the cart/atty combination is just because of the problem you describe. Their either too wet, too dry and messy to handle.

If your ego is a 510, FSUSA has some 510 threaded cartos that are excellent. They do have to be filled with a syringe but the vapor and flavor is unequaled anywhere and FSUSA has excellent prices on these. I have always judged all other cartomizers against these 510's. The only drawback they have is that need to be refilled often. But they are excellent!

Elphaba, I agree with TT. I changed to cartomizers and have never looked back. 510 Attys are alot of work..although I just got a 306 for dripping occasionally. I personally have settled on a particular cartomizer that I'm dedicated to, but I don't think FSUSA carries it. In the beginning of my cartomizer journey, I did use the Joye cartos on their website, and they're fine. I think it takes some experimenting to get your perfect "fit" though.

I'm the same way with cartomizers and FSUSA doesn't carry them (yet). I DID use the 510 cartos from them and liked them. I don't "do" syringes so I used the condom method to fill them.

BTW, the tops don't come off of the 510 cartos (at least not easily).

I've always popped the top off the cartos. For the Joye style, they're "hard" and you pop them off, and then puncture a hole in the fill port, then fill them up with a syringe. I use a big paperclip that I've manipulated to my purpose for the top removal job.

I used to do the condom filling method, but now I just fill from the top. I use the type with a soft top which I throw away, and replace with a fancy schmancy drip tip.

The carto might not be from FSUSA but you can be sure the juice I fill it up with is...

This enquiring mind thanks you! I thought people were using actual condoms. I am an idiot.

So can someone clarify, these don't need blowing out? No nasty primer?

Nothing to blow out. Just fill 'em up and enjoy. Top off as needed. Mine last a week or two. Some people clean them out with hot water & reuse. I just toss them out when the filling stops taking a good refill. There are quite a few youtube videos showing how to fill, clean etc... I thought there were some FSUSA videos here too, but perhaps they're gone..?

Finally have one atty working right (out of 7). When I blew out that massive plume of sweet sweet hopscotch flavored vapour, I nearly burst into tears.

I have a little piece of buttery joy in my heart right now.

You are too funny!! Are you sure that's "buttery joy" and not the warm sting of whiskey straight? (Either way, it's better than a burnt atty!!)
