Really dumb question... I have 10 AW IMR 14500 batts, i assume if i want to use a 14500 id have to use a sleeve till i got some 18650, does anyone or will GV, sell the sleeves id need? I suupose i could use rolled cardboard...

might try some pcv pipe or something similar. I used a syringe tube to fit a batt in a flashlight mod lol

I have no knowledge concerning the smok or Joye batteries in comparison, but the AW IMR's are the best batteries for unregulated devices. And if you're going to use AW IMR 18650's make sure to get the 1600mah and not the 2000mah ones for this. I won't link due to it being from another vendor, but exhaustive reviews have been done comparing the two AW IMR's and the 1600mah one holds a higher voltage for longer than the 2000mah one, which is important for an unregulated device.

unfortanatly i only have the 2000 mah 18650's

Officially, yes, it would be a 3.7V device. It's a mechanical mod without any electronics in it, so you're going to get whatever voltage that your battery is at. When a 3.7V battery comes off the charger, they're generally 4.1V or so and that will head down as you use it/drain the battery.

You may be able to stack batteries/use different batteries to change the voltage, but I'm not going to recommend it.

This sucker looks nice.

I had a Galileo and it was horrible, massive voltage drop and people were still going crazy for it at $200. I've been looking for a telescopic mod for awhile...depending on quality, for 55 bucks this is a steal. Anyone who has never tried an all mechanical mod...you don't know what you're missing!

Going to have to check the finances and see where I can find some loot before these sell out.

Those will work VERY well. :) But, like Marc said, the 1600s will work just a little bit better. :(

Here is the chart to which Marc was referring. It shows that although the 2000mAh AW IMR holds it's usable charge (down to 2.8v) longer than the 1600mAh AW IMR, the 1600 holds a slightly higher voltage over time. And since in the non-regulated mechanical PV you would probably want to change out your batt when it drops down to about 3.6v or so (where you will feel a very noticeable decrease in vapor), you can see on this chart that the 1600 takes slightly longer than the 2000 to drop to that point.

(In a well-regulated APV like the Vmax or the SMOKtech Gripper, where the voltage is maintained by the regulator, the higher capacity of the 2000 becomes an advantage.)

Ya can't judge a book by its cover, a turtle by its shell, or a battery by its (often false) mAh rating. ;)

Thank you to Super T Manufacturing.

I love my Stardusts and so many tanks are coming out with eGo threading, this may be one of my favorite features. It is full eGo compatible with no adapters needed.

Could we maybe, pretty, pretty please get some pics of this with a stardust on it to drool over while I'm waiting for my order...you know, since I haven't heard back from you saying, sure erin drive on over and pick your stuff up;)

I've never tried a mechanical mod, and I don't care what I'm missing :). If it's not variable voltage, it's not for me.
