Hi all
My name is Keith and I'm keen to move over to the e cig side as I really hate the fact that I smoke and its starting to affect my health and thus potentially affecting my love of running wild all over the coast and woodlands near me

I want to find a set up that will help me move over and replicate the taste as much as possible of my Golden virginia tobacco ..

Any advice would be deeply appreciated

All the best to you all

Keith

Up for consideration!!!!!:toast:

Need to know a bit more about you to really make a solid recommendation:

How much do you smoke?
Do you have to smoke at work?
Does it have to look like an analog?
Is weight an issue? (not with you:0)

I have 2 Ego C Twist 900mah battery's I top with Kanger T3's they fit into the pen slot of my work shirt and stays put. One Twist battery and one Kanger T3 is more than enough for all day at work for me...

Oh my goodness... Thanks for all the replies, you are so kind

i am currently a RYO smoker who nervously smokes on around 30 roll ups a day..to tell the truth, I love smoking but I'm a really active guy and find that its affecting me like never before..I'm now 42. I work an active job for some of thitime as a freelance gardener and tree surgeon, and for the rest of the time I'm an artist who paints animal portraits....I smoke as a break during both pursuits and love it !!!

I really appreciate all your effort in replying and would love to hear more

Many Many thanks

Keith

I was also a RYO smoker at about the same amount.
From the eGo class PVs is the Riva- fires @ 3.7 volts- realize when choosing a PV 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge.
Don't know about your budget but here's a review on the Kgo (also known as the Riva). I own the Kgo and although I have a multitude of PVs still enjoy using it.
discount code allabout - giving 10% off
The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Keith,
Greetings from this side of the pond.
Just DO it (as the commercial says.....)! I am a long time tobacco smoker, pack-a-day (+/-), and I absolutely loved to smoke.
I picked up a Blu-Cig starter pack on a whim (because I started to feel the negative effects of analogs.) I am on my fourth week completely off of regular cigarettes, have upgraded to an Ego Twist setup, and already looking forward to my next upgrade. (Damn, this is FUN........seeking out flavors is somewhat like seeking out a fine cigar, if you know what that is like.). The funny thing is, I have already been in the company of several fairly heavy smokers, smoking away, and I have NO DESIRE whatsoever to pick up the analogs. (I can't get over this little fact. NOTHING has worked like this for me in the past. I kind of talked / psyched myself into thinking that I was just switching 'brands' of tobacco cigarettes, and it seems to have worked like a charm. I'm a believer, if you haven't noticed.)

Sincerely hope this works for you! All the best!
Ty

Next is the Spinner. 1300 mah and fires from 3.2- 4.8 volts. You would also need a charger, wall adapter and delivery devices (holds and vaporizes the juice)

Vid Review- Spinner versus its competitor the Twist. I own both Spinners and Twists and prefer the Spinner.

I suppose that I have a budget of around £50.00 sterling to get me going...is this possible?..i could possibly stretch a little further

i get SO confused reading all these product names etc... I think it comes from being a bit of an outdoors kind of guy and being a bit technology shy !!! lol

Thanks again

Keith

Any PVs I post here are manufactured by large and reputable companies. You could buy the Riva Kit and have £20 left for juice. Because that kit has 5 cartomizers and 1 clearomizer (delivery devices) you'd prolly be good for at least 1 1/2- 2 months. Because the Spinner uses the same charger as the Riva if you wished to upgrade down the road all you'd have to purchase is the Spinner battery.

Ah, the ever elusive tobacco flavored liquid. :)

You know what? As somebody still fairly new to vaping ('bout six weeks now), my thought on finding a "just like tobacco" liquid is you'll end up not caring. No, seriously. The flavor options are so varied, you could spend years exploring them all. Or you'll hit on a few that are so good, you'll forget all about finding a "tobacco like" flavor. Like when I ran into blueberry liquids. I love blueberries. That cured me of worrying about a tobacco like flavor. :)

Seriously, it's a whole other world. Give it a chance and you may end up like me, liking vaping far, far more than cigs. I still have a half pack of cigs in the kitchen cabinet. They just sit there, ignored...

If you shop around, probably so. Pop over to the Forum Supplier section and search for "UK". You can find known, reputable suppliers to start you off.

And I'm not recommending this one (especially because I don't know clearos, others can help you with those), just using it for an example but if you check here, you'll see an eGo starter for about 25 pounds (sorry, not sure where the pound sterling symbol is!).

I get SO confused reading all these product names etc... I think it comes from being a bit of an outdoors kind of guy and being a bit technology shy !!! lol

It's confusing to everybody at first. And I'm a total computer geeky techie type. I was lost at the beginning. But there are a lot of helpful, friendly folk around. Don't be afraid to ask even if you think the question is "dumb". Won't be long, you'll be spouting jargon with the best. :)

I'm stunned at how well it's worked for me. I just bought a disposable just to try this "e-cig" thing out when I was picking up my regular carton of cigs. Just fiddled around with it, ended up liking the taste. It was sometime around 8:30 or so in the evening I realized I'd gone without smoking since I'd got home from the store. Went to check the receipt and I'd bought the disposable around 11:30 in the morning.

I forgot to light up for nine hours.

I've never forgotten that. It was so weird. I'm a... no, I was a heavy smoker. I did not go nine hours without a cig. Not unless I was asleep!

With that in mind, when I got to doing the whole vaping thing, I decided to concentrate on finding flavors and enjoying vaping. Not thinking about it as "quitting smoking" (which thought could literally cause a panic attack... I'm serious, my doc said something about me needing to quit and it was like he'd threatened my life, I wanted to run :) ).

The more I came to enjoy vaping, the less I cared about smoking. Didn't actually stop smoking completely until about the last week. So it took over a month but I kept slowing down and slowing down until, one day, I lit my one cig for the day and hated it. It tasted awful, made me cough, gave me a headache. Oof! I think about two days later, I tried again, same results. It was just an awful experience.

Ran for the Twist and some Rainer (cherry flavor I've come to like a great deal) to get the bad taste outta my mouth. :)

I like the idea of a more "positive" reinforcement. That is, vaping is better. So I want to do that. Not smoke. That really seems to be working for me.

And, heh, yeah, blueberries. I'm vaping "Blueberry Candy" as I type. Yum. :)

Ok ..I have tried the disposable type that you find in the garages here when you go for petrol.. they were fine, but I wonder what the real deal is like in comparison.... I only tried them for a short while, and I was pi%%%ed off at the high price for a tiny ammount of vapour

So..my chance to ask a dumb question... LOL

Keith

I am guessing disposables are disposables no matter what country. Disposables are NOTHING like a real setup for vaping.

I am a new vaper also (2 weeks) and after 1 disposable I picked up and Ego-C starter kit and some bottles of juice. So much more vapor, so many flavors, and alot cheaper long run.

I am told many people eventually start mixing up their own juices and save even more money but I am not adventurous enough to try that yet. :)
