Even though I've been vaping for quite a long time I never really bothered to clean an atomizer. I would usually just buy a new one. I've been using low res 306 atomizers and the vendor I buy from is currently out so I have no choice but to clean them. Someone from the community(and they know who they are :)) gave me some instructions on how to clean my atomizers and it worked fantastic. They are now like new and I would like to share this with the new vapers out there since this topic is brought up a lot.

Step 1- Fill up a glass about a quarter of the way with vodka. Just enough so the atomizer is covered.

Step 2- Let it sit in the vodka for 24 hours. Throughout the process you will see the vodka turning a brownish color. That's the old juice inside the atomizer mixing with the vodka.

Step 3- After the 24 hours take the atomizer out and wipe it down with a paper towel as dry as you can.

Step 4- screw the atomizer back on to your e-cigarette or mod, without a cart or drip tip, just the atomizer. Hold the button down to ignite the atomizer for 5 seconds. No longer then 5 seconds, if you do it longer it can burn out your atomizer. Do this about 3 or 4 times, or until you don't hear the excess vodka bubbling up any more. While doing this you will also see the vodka burning off. I did it 4 times, 5 seconds each time and that was enough to burn the excess vodka off. Then put your cart or drip tip back on and your ready to go.

It got the atomizer as clean as it was when I purchased it. Again, there are many ways out there to clean an atomizer. This is what worked for me and should work for you too :).

Thanks, that's helpful. I tried the same thing with rubbing alcohol and it seemed to work fine also. I didn't do step 4 though, just let it stand overnight to dry out. I also didn't know that you shouldn't ignite the atomizer without juice for more than 5 seconds, not that I've had a reason to so far. Thanks again.
For the record, you shouldn't ignite a dry atomizer at all. Since the vodka is in there the atomizer is wet and it's ok :).

After an overnight alcohol wash, I blow out and air dry mine for the day. Then before I use it I drip a couple of drops of eliquid on the atty (my battery has a hole and my atty bridge is external, so I hold the PV horizontally and drip onto the each side of the bridge, wait about 20 seconds then pop on the cart and start vaping.
