First, I have to say that I couldn't be happier since finding ECF and SI, then receiving my first Volt products.

I made a rookie mistake and didn't order any extra carts with my original order, then failed to order extras in time so they will be here the beginning of next week.

Today, I took advantage of the spring sale and ordered a couple of X2s and a few of the new 1.6 clearomizers plus some other goodies.

I'm trying all of the SI flavors, as I've already been through a sweet sampler and I have the other samplers on the way.

Here's where I'd like some advice. I have no experience with juices or vendors, so I'd like to hear your recommendations on both.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hoo boy, what a Pandora's Box that could turn into . . . especially as there are only about a bazillion juice vendors out there! :p

I sure hope folks chime in and help bebowebb out, but might I suggest (out of respect for the fact that this IS Smokeless Image's Subforum) that we do so via PM to him?

In the meantime, bebo, it would help us to know a few things about you:
(1) What mg nicotine do you vape?
(2) Do you prefer higher PG, higher VG, doesn't matter or don't know yet?
(3) What vape flavors do you prefer? (tobaccos, fruits, dessert/bakery, etc.)
(4) Are there any vape flavors that you know you don't like?

Let us know, and I'm sure we can overwhelm you with good suggestions! :D

Thank you, EleanorR! I thought about that in advance and I hated to start such a wide open thread. I should have been more specific.

As I had told Imagine, I am a loyalist and have no intentions of straying far from SI. I'm hoping for some recommendations from some more experienced Volt users as to some juices that work well with their SI products.

I have been using 18mg, but my most recent order was for 12mg carts. I believe it will still be sufficient :)

I have absolutely no idea about the PG/VG preference, but I'm hoping to catch on quick.

I have not necessarily met a flavor I dislike as of yet, and am open to suggestion.

On second thought, I think you're right... I might have opened a whirlwind style thread. I'm stuck at work and was trying to make my initial thread more specific, but things got hectic quickly and I cut things a little broad.

Definitely didn't mean any disrespect to SI by posting this in the SI sub-forum. I just figured, who better to ask about what to use with my new Volt products than the more experienced Volt users ;)

can't beat SI's ry4 in my opinion....and I've tried ry4 from A LOT of different vendors. But taste is subjective :)

Totally agree, jb! (Howdy, BTW! :)) Their Grapes -- both of them -- are also the absolute tops!

Bebo, I'm sure no one thinks you were trying to be disrespectful -- you're just looking for advice from people you trust!

As to "what works" in Volt's blank cartos: in my experience, virtually everything works well (or at least better in Volt cartos than anyone else's). I confine myself to juices that are maximum 35%VG; usually 80/20 PG/VG (this means thy will be thinner juices). I also, however, use a lot of naturally-extracted tobacco juices, which are notorious for clogging up cartos. My NETs do just fine in Volt cartos. :)

Perhaps your best bet is to get your SI cartos/juices; find what you like/dislike about those, and let us know. Then we'll be better able to help you out.

In the meantime, I'm going to PM you a few other juice vendors that I personally love. Deal? :D

bebo be sure to try SI's 555, too!

I definitely will!

I was just telling Imagine that next week will be like Christmas.

I have a manual 78mm, two 1300 X2s, three packs of carts (including the smooth and strong samplers - already finished the sweet), the clearomizers and some other goodies all coming in next week.

Gonna' be a goooooood week!

I have been trying a lot of samples from ECBlendflavors, since about $2.50 for 5 ml really isn't too bad in my eyes for sampling. Plus, they have a 20% off code 10020. I have three custom mixes from them that I vape all the time, but I still like experimenting. My next order for my 0 nic mix, though, will be for a 50ml bottle... maybe I won't run out so fast.

As far as SI carts, I really like their 555, Desert Joe, Ice Menthol and Watermelon. Come to think of it, after I found my tastebuds again after quitting smoking, even SI RY4 started tasting pretty good to me, and I ordered some in my order tonight. Flavors I don't care for are cherry and grape. Anyone's. I just don't like cherry and grape, for most things and not just carts or eLiquids. And, none of the flavors of carts and liquids I like now are the flavors I smoked with tobacco cigarettes. Psychological, maybe. Give up that flavor when giving up the tobacco for a clean break? Dunno, just worked that way for me.

I spent all kinds of money experimenting some good some bad, steeping sucks and a lot of juices I ordered had no throat hit. At the end of the day i just stick with all SI juices, hell I can order prefilled same cost of blanks and just refill. I like desert Joe, cowboy, grape, watermelon, ry4, and 555 and i keep all in stock. Really that's enough variety for me ;)

Welcome bebowebb! Good advice all - I'd like to also suggest to give SI's Freedom a try - it appears to be one of those flavors that one will either love or hate - It is my top flavor preference other than cinnamon.

Yep, on the love/hate. Guess is follows the path of that particular emulated brand of tobacco cigarettes, as well. Clove (in one of my mixes) is one of my top preferences. I just love clove, period. Never cared for it in tobacco cigarettes, but loving the eLiquid mix. Then again, I couldn't get bourbon additives in tobacco cigarettes, either. ;)

All of my goto Vapes are SI...

555 being my #1

The Vanilla and the RY4 are also great all day vapes.

That being said, I have three or four other Niquids in my Volt carry case at all times.

Vermilion River has a great sample kit and good flavors. Caramelized cappuccino being my fave.

Want2Vape also has a tester kit that was nice, but only two flavors really jumped out at me. Butterfly Bait and Cin-a-mint

Altcigs has a cinnamon cheese danish that is amazing, but after about ten hits it starts to get overwhelming, so obviously not a goto, but still nice to have available.

My roommate likes Tobacco flavors (I don't) but he says Backwoods brew is the way to go if you want a good analog simile. Backo is his flavor of choice.

As has been said, 1.5 million vendors and each with there own blends and each of us with a unique set of taste buds.

I would suggest getting a couple inexpensive sampler kits and finding your own way. Any you don't like can always be gifted or traded to others with different tastes.

Most importantly, IMO, have fun. Smoking analogs was never fun, Vaping has been big fun ever since I started, I think that may be one reason why it has worked so well for me.
