The other half is so happy with my vaping instead of the analogs I get to spend most of the tax refund on vaping. I am trying to get supplies for the better part of the year. I understand there is a learning curve with everything associated with vaping and after not much trial and error (and reading the forum) I have managed to keep off of the analogs fairly easily. This is what I usually use:
- A Provari with a big daddy tank and a dual coil carto
- I like the draw easy
- I like the vape on the cool side no popping and spitting, hot juice in the mouth
- My daily juice doesn't like too much heat (I keep it between 4V - 5V, 2.0 - 2.5 oohms)
- I drip other flavors occasionally
In the next year I plan to:
- Start DIY
- get a Vmod XL (for the daily vape with a LR atty)
What I need:
- A carto recommendation
- An atty recommendation (for the Vmod XL)
Some questions and concerns:
- Which of the cartos are XL (long enough for a 5ml tank??
- Can the cartos be punched? (I do my own now)
- the availability of the Iken stock (since last October I have been looking at the Iken page when it is up and nothing that would seem to work is ever in stock)
- I want a supplier where I can get the majority of the things that I need in one place.
- can I be put on a list somewhere to know when something I want is in stock?
I have tried some of the other top DC cartos and I am tired of half of them not working or tasting off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so very much,
Wicked

He just put out the new Platinum Mega and I should have some in a couple days. I would just try a couple and see which ones you like. I know it's a longer road to go but vaping is very subjective and you might not like the things I do. As far as knowing when things are in stock I would recommend signing up for the newsletter from Ikenvape site and keep an eye on his Twitter page. That's where he posts a lot of messages about stock.

I know that it all is preference. I am just looking for some suggestions. I need to know if these cartos can be punched? Which ones are XL? Does anyone use them in a tank? I plan on ordering a variety. Here are the 3 that look promising:
- IKV 510 gold drip style V2, Will they fit in a 5ml tank and can they be punched?
- IKV 510 Mega Carto STD. I take STD to be standard. will they fit in a 5ml tank? Can they be punched? They are black is it a sticker??
- IKV 510 gold carto, all the same questions, this one sounds like the one that would be my best fit.
The descriptive terms are different than what I am used to. Just looking for some info.
They have a LR smoktech variation that is out of stock but doesn't say wether it is single or daul coil? The dual coils don't always agree with my provari. Ok that's enough for now. When my vmod gets here I'll have a bunch of questions about attys.
Thanks
Wicked

Hey Wicked,
You definitely want to stick to anything rated at 2.5Ω and up for sure. I'm not entirely sure how tall your 5ml tank is, the caps play heavy variations. The Megas we currently have would be your ultimate best bet. The Mega 510 LR and STD cartos we carry are 50mm for the body not counting the the threading and the Black version are just stickers. The Platinum Mega are 40mm and the Mega Fusions we have are prototypes of 45m and 50mm. I don't mention the XLR and Dual coil sets because they just don't work so well with VV mods.

I didn't find a link on the IKV website for signing up for a newsletter? How do you sign-up for it?

Might be a bug with the site, but the only way I got it to show up was to do a search query. If you search for "news", or anything really, the form will show up on the left panel below the categories.
