    Somewhere between here and there
I have tried the general mini mint, general wintergreen, general original, ettan original, discreet emerald ice and cool mint. The only one that I really like alot is the general mini mint. I am getting low and need to place an order so I was wondering if anyone(OTD, Twisted, Stubby,Wiz, you know who I am talking about) might have a suggestion. I am going to get more mini mints but I think I might like something with a little stronger nicotine kick but still the strong mint flavor. I know that some may turn up their noses but I really kinda liked the camel frost but I would like to try to stick with the swedish snus since from what I have read that there is not as much of a health risk.

Like you I am so far only really fond of the Mini Mints. However, today tried a Mocca Mint which is also a white mini portion - 5mg nic instead of the Mini Mint's 4mg, so slightly stronger. To me the taste is quite similar, with maybe a bit more snus flavour than mint in the Mocca. Have read reviews where people are using two or even three portions at once - that certainly ups the nic if you can juggle them OK :)

Interested to see the replies from more experienced snusers to your question though.

    Best,

    C.

... but the Thunder Frosted Mini might be what you are looking for. It's an 8 mg/portion as opposed to 4 like the General Mini Mint.
    ...

    Morning Suds!

    @hittman
Thunder Frosted is the only one I've tried that comes to mind as well. It's spearmint, the Gen. Mini mint is peppermint. They are similar in flavor and sweetness.

The Mocca that C mentions sounds interesting. The other 2 snus I've had from Mocca were both very good.

    Be adventurous hittman.
Try something that isn't suggested here as well as the ones we do throw out :)

I like to go window shopping at Northerner for ideas.

    EDIT:Just found this review site:

Is the mocca mint a peppermint? I am wondering also why the mini mints are only 20 portions when many others are 24 even though the minis are smaller.

I was looking on the northener site and saw that elixir has a peppermint. Has anyone tried this?

Don't waste your money on this... it's disgusting. The energy elixyr is OK. If you're using it for the caffeine/ nicotine effect it's pretty efficient. The peppermint however has no caffeine, tastes bad, and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Reading from others who have tried this snus I believe this is the majority opinion.

Thank you for the info. I just really don't want to end up with a bunch of cans that I do not want or like.

Yeh, the Mocca is mild peppermint - and 24 portions per can. (Dunno why the Mini Mints can is smaller, though.)

Where are you buying it? The northener site says 20 portions. Not to mention that it looks like it is in a pink can.

Yep, Northerner and it is in a lilac (not pink) coloured can. However all you have to do is stick the contents in an empty can of the colour you prefer. TB puts portions into a can labelled NO Nicotine - cunning devil that he is!

I just received my getsnus order and tried a General Mini Mint as my first. Very enjoyable with a nice mild taste.
I'm going to wait a little while and then try a Thunder Frosted Mini so I can compare the two.
How often do you guys use this stuff? Is a couple a day the norm?
    Thanks...

So far I have been using one but not every day. Today I used one but tried out three others. I'm thinking I shall only use snus when the body seems to be in need of more than just vaping. It really will depend on your own feeling. In Sweden I think it's not unusual to use five or six portions a day - but of course portions vary in strength too. So it must be hard to quantify.

Let us know how the two different mints compare - I'll be interested to hear.

    :)

I too am curious to hear about the thunder frosted in comparison. I have been limiting myself to two a day. I usually have one shortly after I get to work and another in the afternoon. I don't feel the need to use it when I am at home for some reason. I am doing like Caesarea. It is just a filler in between vaping. I went thru some pretty hard times a couple weeks ago and had started smoking some again when I received some advice from some of the people here and tried my first snus a couple weeks ago. For me it is a good filler for the things that I am not getting from vaping that I was from smoking.

I just got done trying a Thunder Frosted Mini. It was a little strong at first, but after a minute it settled in nicely. Definitely comparable to the General Mini Mint but stronger with more of a kick. 8-o
Thanks all for the welcomes and good advice...

Yep, one for my order next time then! Might have to wrap it in extra teabag material.

    :)

Oh Yeah Suds...Thunder Frosted Mini....So far my favorite. I'm a nic junky and the mini has alot of nic for a portion that I can use undetected in my "No Tobacco" workplace. And the spearmint is very good ;).
hittman, the net weight difference is that all the mini portions are around a half gram, with 20 portions per can. I don't know why. I wish they'd make a 20 gram can with 40 portions, but I guess that's the cost of convenience . The price is about the same for a can of the Thunder Frosted regular portions :(.
