So im going to take the plunge into making my own juice and have done a ton of reading on it. Ive got all my gear picked out no problem.

My only problem is flavors. I will be sticking with cappellas flavoring. There are just so many its overwhelming. There are alot of variations on vanilla, strawberry, apple, watermelon, orange, and others. Any help on a short list of flavorings to start with? I know i want sweet cream, em, and liquid sucralose but i dont know what others to get. Or what variant. I like mainly fruity and cereal type juices. Any help on a list of 10 or less flavors that are must have?

Sorry, I don't really use alot of Capella flavoring. This thread may help you get some idea though. LIST of Capella Flavor Percentages | E-Cigarette Forum

It is easy to get overwhelmed with large selections. Just start with small bottles to see what you like and go from there.

Good luck to you!

ETA- I do know that Sweet Strawberry is a very popular fruit flavor.

You'll eventually want to end up ordering all of them anyway, so just pick the amount of bottles that you can afford for now and then choose the ones that sound like the best tastes to you for now, and buy those.

Then start your next round list, it never ends, welcome to DIY :D

Had to go ahead and say it, so they wouldn't be fretting over which 10 to get like that would be the end of it :)

* I'll add to salemgolds "sweet" suggestion - sweet tangerine is also highly touted if you like orange type flavors.

** Also, you must try many flavors from all brands too, this is a DIY requirement, your mind will agree and sign you up to this shortly :D

Agreed. Flavoring can become an addiction all on it's own. We must try them all. Buwhahahahaha!!!

J/K, OP. You may have more self control then the rest of us ;)

Im not sure about that... I just have a smaller budget. I started vaping a week ago and ive spent over $220 on hardware and juice so far. Now im plunging into diy and dont want to spend more than 80 bucks on startup. For $57 im getting a bit of pg, 1 liter of vg, 120ml of 100mg nic, and all the equipment. So that leaves me about 23 bucks for flavors. :D Should be placing my order tomorrow.

Be sure to search for coupon codes for the vendor that you place your order with. Often times that is a huge savings and many vendors offer them.

Plus, you really don't need much "equipment" to start. A few syringes to measure and some empty bottles are all that you really need. Those kits that are offered contain things that you may never use at times.

This is one option on where to buy that is less expensive than direct. Not sure what their shipping is though. Capella Flavor Drops

Im gonna be buying from wizardlabs. I did alot of price comparisons and looking for coupon codes. None for wizardlabs but they do have all the stuff i need to get started. The darn nic and vg is whats so expensive, but i figure 120ml of 100mg nic should last me quite a long time. I like that wizardlabs sells capellas 8ml bottles for only 1.50 and 30mil for 5.50. I might try some tfa stuff because its only 4.00 for 30 mil.

You can get a liter gallon of VG here (10 lbs) for much less shipped, $20.75 shipped to me via UPS, that will add some flavor $$ back into your cart :)
Glycerin | Bulk Apothecary

Use coupon - savings10 - for 10% off

And yes, this is good VG, I use it and many others here do as well!

Ohh ya, I forgot about free shipping after $65 there, I was thinking you were paying $40 for the VG, that's what it is shipped without going over $65 there, well $36.

Sorry, I meant a gallon of VG is 10 pounds, and that's what I priced above too a gallon not liter (Will edit, sorry). Liter there would be much cheaper ($3.92 + shipping, twice the price of the VG :D = 10.58 shipped)

That's what I said when I found the place, kindly linked in a few places and threads here in the DIY section. Hope it helps you get a few more flavors at least! :) :toast:

It was the first place I saw fit to order a gallon of VG, since their prices are so low and the shipping isn't outrageous either, seconded only by Essential Depot but they have higher prices and rape you on shipping

Don't forget your 10% off coupon! Sometimes they offer 20% off too, so you'll have to join their email or always check google or duckduckgo for discount codes before you purchase

I can certainly relate.....I pinch my nickels till the buffalo poops, and have done a lot of price comparisons. Best price I found for the small bottles of cappella is here....
E-Cig Flavors & Capella Flavor Drops | EcigExpress

other vendors do better price wise on larger bottles, but for trying them out to decide if I want more....small are best
edit: WL has a lower price, but...it's 8 ml vs 13 ml on the small size bottles
