A Little P'd off

I've got a 501, that always works; an 801 and a JS. I'm getting a little p'd off with the 801. Atty seems to flood just thinking about it. Using a cartomizer from the JS that vapes just fine; put it in the 801 w/PS and it just dies...good 2 hits and then it's history. Put it back in the JS and it's fine.

I'm ready to get a higher voltage 801 mod.

Which one do I get? I've read zillions of posts. It gets confusing and there's lots of nice looking ones out there

There are several nice 5 and 6 volt high end models and I can't say anything but good about all of them. I do think that the Prodigy at 5 volts was made to vape the best with the 801 atomizer. That would be my recommendation. It is at puresmoker.com.

He can personalize it in many colors and even put a design on it. This guy has got the High voltage mods.

Sometimes I find just a nudge on the 801 atty will connect better. I take some 151 to the threads, dry off with paper towel getting the inside thread surface, then take the cartridge condom as a wrench and seat tighter. Always turn clockwise when adding or removing the cartridge so that you're not backing out the atty.

Can you give me an idea as to why the low bridge from China are superior to the standard US high bridge.

I don't know exactly but I asked Wayne at H.Gifts about it. He currently carries the highbridge and I've used both without incident. He did say he's going to low bridge 801/4072 in October and the reason is that with the high bridge you have to depress the cart filler - so a bit less 'distance' on a refill. Why not maximize all aspects?

There are several high-voltage devices available. The 801/penstyle atomizer performs very well at 5v+. The Super-T, AdapteveR, Silver Bullet and Prodigy should be on your short list. The first two have the button on the bottom shile the latter two have button placement on the side near the atomizer. I chose the totally mechanical Super-T for my primary device. Whichever unit you choose, you would be really satisfied.

Assuming you're in the US, cignot.com has the best prices for a 510 that I have seen. $35 for a basic kit. Good customer service and fast shipping, too.

It is the most poplar at the moment. I'm thoroughly enjoying mine as I type this. Great vapor and throat hit, good flavor, and a nice, dependable little unit.

Vaped a 510 before getting a KR808-D1. LOVE IT. Flavor and throat hit blow the 510 out of the water. Battery life is longer also. The only thing I'm worried about is the cost of the cartomizers. If I can't vape one of them for at least a few days (with refilling), it will be kind of expensive.
