You are all so very nice to compliment me for offering the covers.

I like my REO's, all of them, and want them to stay in great condition. These covers let me put them in my purse and the finish is not harmed with car keys or other things that also go in there. They can be put in the compartment of my vehicles and not get marred by jostling together or against the plastic. In the winter the metal REO's are always nice and warm.

I understand fully those who want their REO's shinning in all their glory showing off the finish. I like them naked too!

I like the saddle color with the black a close second. Have you ever worked with leather? If I can figure out how to tan it, I might be able to provide you some buckskin to work with in a few months :)

I have not got into the leather working. The fabrics I use bend, and cut easy and can be hot glued. I have thought about trying some leather to see how well it would hold up. I know very thin leather will stretch and lose shape over time.

I do not abuse my VVG, folks. But if I bought a brand new dirt bike, the very first thing I would do is kick it over. Why? Because that's what you're supposed to do! dings, bruises, blems, all add character to an already awesome product.

So far after 5 months using it, it doesn't have any "blems" as the flatlanders call 'em!

But if the day comes when my trusted vvg gets bruised, on that day, I will look down at it proudly as if I just got a tattoo for the first-time. Or if my son won his first fist-fight. You get the picture.

Karen, I love you but please leave MY vvg naked & afraid,

RHP

Love ya Pat! And don't worry, I don't usually send covers out to those who don't want them! Robert didn't make them to need the protection.

But a cover will be an option for those who choose a little added protection and softness.

Maybe you can make a cover for my fiance because once a month she treats me like garbage and verbally abuses me then apologies later.

Yeah, sign me up for 1 Padded Suede Rail "True Black" for a 36-year old woman who has issues. Thanks in advance, dont worry I'll cover the shipping.

It may not be as much of a problem nowadays with all the powdercoat, wrinkle, and 'tone finishes out in the wild.... But back when anodized was the only finish offered, REO's can get mighty cold in the hands during winter months when you first pick them up.

I used to wrap my designated "outside" REO with 3M carbon fiber vinyl at the start of the season, but I think I will take Karen up on her generous offer this year instead... Thank you again dear!
