Well, I'm finally posting. It's about time, I've been lurking for ages, and thanking you all for all the information and advice :)

My journey so far - I bought some jacvapour PG 18mg prefilled cartos and a pair of Vi3 batteries with a charger. It came, I charged, I vaped it. Lovely. But the next day I was sick, sick and with a headache - I don't get headaches. But, there I was, I thought I'd found the answer to my (I'm not telling you how long, but trust me, it's a looong time) addiction, a way to feed the nicotine without all the bad gubbins that analogues bring with them, but no. Lighting up another rollie, I went looking for advice. Why was this happening? I read threads here, I posted on Jacvapour's facebook, and I worked out that either I was ODing on nicotine (which would be odd) or I was allergic to PG.

Next I ordered some VG 6mg and 12mg and some new blank cartos. Yes, I really was that cautious. I had been that sick. This was where I began to get fed up with refilling those little tubes. Anyhow, it kinda worked, and I wasn't made sick by it, but I still wanted a ..., off and on. And that refilling game - tedious.

So, money no object, and sneakily taking a lot more advice from this forum (thanks again) I bought me a miniNova, an eGo T plus pass-through, a couple of ato's and some 14mg menthol VG liquid. Now, that's better. Quick to fill, a bigger hit, and an easier, fuller draw. But.

I'm still not absolutely happy. I know, I'm a fussy person. There's a bit of a funny taste, and after a few days it gets worse. So back I come to the font of all wisdom, vaping-wise, and find the thread that starts with stainless mesh wicks and ends up agreeing that cotton gauze is the way to go. So I get some wire, I've already got cheesecloth (she's a maker, not a breaker, and my greek yoghurt is awesome too) and having watched youtubes and read threads, I've just rewicked my nova with what looks like wick perfection to me. Yay!

My menthol crystals are steeping in VG, 3ml of 18mg coffee-cream e-liquid's alongside (first attempt, may be awful, we'll see) I've a new box filled with bottles and pipettes and all sorts, and I've got a new game to play and the baccy can go hang. I think. I am a bad girl though, I haven't chucked it out yet.

Thanks for reading xx

omg - automatic links! I didn't mark those up... clever!

Welcome to the forum. It is nice to know that there are people out there who actually read and consider all the advice there is on the forum before buying stuff :D, not like me. My first setup was a gift , my second one was a small scale fiasco organized by my ignorance :D . Nice to have you here :)

Nooo, I only found the forum after spending £50 at Jacvapour. I'm as dumb as anyone. But, it didn't take long to find you after that, because of the sick headache issues I had to go looking. Thanks for the tip, lisancentralx, hydration has always been one of my things, so that's covered.

Happy holidays, all xx

So, I have to make five posts before posting in another part of the forum - I found this out because I wanted to put a super-positive review on the Cloud 9 Vaping thread - can't do it there so I'll do it here. This is the third supplier I've tried, and it sure is third time lucky. Fast, correct, nicely packaged, and they've got pretty much all the stuff you need. At least five gold stars for Cloud 9. I am one super-satisfied customer, and I'll be going back to them when more stuff is needed.

Now vaping my own coffee mix, pretty good. I used FA coffee and a bit of Catalan Cream, in VG, mixed to 18mg. I'm using glass medicine jars for storage, which makes drawing up the right amount with a pipette pretty easy. The ViviNova tanks are so easy to fill.

When I first had that awful reaction to what I couldn't tell if it was nicotine or PG, Jacvapours assumed it was the nicotine. Well, they were wrong, some of us just can't vape PG and that's an end to it. Now, I know. VG is for me.
