A little bit of an update.....after watching loads of reviews I think I've decided to go for the Innokin SVD with the 2 iclear 30s. Now all I need to do is track down a decent priced kit. Unfortunately myepack.co.uk is still down for maintenance.
I decided to go for the SVD over the MVP because it is variable wattage and that seems to be the way to go.

As I have to buy the charger and batteries separately does anyone have any decent suggestions as to what I should go for?

Greetings; Sounds like a pretty nice kit, I just watched a review video about the SVD-iClear30 combo (A PBusardo Review & Contest - Innokin SVD & iClear30 - YouTube) and I can't wait for my SVD to arrive.

In terms of batteries, I don't have a lot of vaping experience, but I can say that I get so little battery time with 18350s (2 - 3 hours) that they hardly seem worthwhile, despite the convenience of the small size. I also got Efest IMR 18650 (2000 mAh) batteries, which were recommended where I got my APV, and they've been lasting more than a day between recharges. The SVD also takes 18500 batteries, which could be a decent compromise between smaller size and battery-charge-time.

There are some very good threads on ECF about recommended batteries and chargers, and also about battery safety. The following thread is a good starting point -- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/129569-rechargeable-batteries.html

the Vamo v2 was my first 'Mod' after a year of the 510 (this was a while ago now) and another year with ego-c's. And I was not disappointed. I always wanted to get a Provari but to be honest, at the price point, I'll take an MVP or a Vamo every time.

I had originally considered the Vamo but a few people have noted that their bills quality is a bit hit or miss and I can't afford to buy something that ain't gonna last.

Ive been using a zmax for months and had all 3 sizes of batteries and found the 490/500s lasted me about 2 days and were a good size. I just got in a provari and its actually a tiny bit smaller in the same config, and ive been using my 650 instead.
I dont care for the 350 life so i never use that battery.
I prefer a bigger mod anyway, with the way i hold it.
Ive heard of some folks using multiple 490s in a day, so ymmv, but i would get one of each and see what you like.

Nice gear. The SVD is a nice telescoping APV and affordable. The slightly higher Sigelei V3 is a good quality telescoping APV that I prefer, but about $20 more. Very nice. The MVP V2 does have variable wattage and is popular. Some prefer tube mods.

Regarding toppers, the Protank II is quite a good clearomizer as is the iClear 30S. I have not tried some of the newer cartos out there as I've been vaping mainly with carto tanks for the last 6+ months, and they are most definitely the bomb. Some people can taste the filler material. I can't and swear by them. When not using cartos I use a variety of RBA's. Loving the Kayfun right now. Ordering the new Kayfun Lite Plus TODAY. Listed and sold my Kayfun Lite yesterday in less than 2 hours at what I paid for it exactly. That was nice. Now I can get the upgrade.

I recommend the Sigelei V3 like Vapoor Eyes said and the Protank II, iClear 30S, or a carto tank. Good luck to you, power up and vape on!

I had looked at the Sigelei V3 when i was having trouble finding a SVD kit and thought i might have to get something else. It would of been my second choice along with the MVP.
I was originally gonna go with the Protank II but the iclear 30's it comes with seem to of got decent reviews. I'm also gonna look at the iclear 30S in a bit more detail once i've got my SVD.

The MVP2.0 is VV/VW it is smaller than you think a great unit all the way around and can be had at great price. I use the MVP2.0 and the Evic daily. At the end of the day I'm sure you will be happy. Good luck on your vaping journey.

I noticed on one of the reviews i watched that there is/was an issue with the button on the MVP being stupidly hard to press and hold while vaping. Is this still the case?
I may consider getting one at a later date for work use as i was impressed with how small it is and the battery life.
