Hi Mema!!! It's SO good to see you again. I hope you are well.

Leeshor, I'm so sorry about what's going on with your pets and I completely understand. I fell off the vaping wagon in Dec/Jan when I lost one of my kitty girls. Our pets are our children and it's heart breaking to watch them deteriorate.

Take all the time you need and do whatever you need to do to get through this difficult time. I am proof that when you are ready, you can get back here. We're all here for you!

CatMommy!!! Sorry to hear that you lost a little girl :(
Looks like we need to form a club: Stress, loss and falling off the vaping wagon. We all need that extra support.

Leeshor - I'm so sorry to hear about your pups! :( 18 Yrs! wow! what a lot of lovin there! I know how difficult it is to say goodbye. I had to put down my dog and cat on the same day, at least they are together at the Rainbow Bridge. We now have 2 puglets, but it took about 4 years before I could consider another pet.
Sending you a big hug!
Have you stopped vaping completely?

Not completely by any stretch. My wife is another story. Never have been able to get her to make the switch off analogs and her smoking has doubled in the last 2 weeks.

The last 2 dogs we've had were both miniature Eskimo Spitz and both made it to 18 years. (Both were rescure dogs). The 10 year old Eskie has been ill with one thing or another pretty much all her life but she was full of fun and kept us laughing out loud at her antics. All her illnesses have been controlled with meds.

When we found out her kidneys were failing the vet said there wasn't much that could be done and she's going down hill very quickly. We feel we should have had her for a lot longer based on our prior experience. We'll probably need to put her to sleep before the week is out.

We're just very sad to lose them both so close together, just 3 weeks.

I'm happy to hear that you haven't completely given up vaping. Sorry to hear that your wife isn't vaping at all - she will when she's ready.
That is soooo sad about your pups. The spitz is a very nice looking breed. I hope you take comfort in knowing that your dogs knew they were loved and well cared for.

for you and CatMommy:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Welcome back MeMa, was happy to see you post again ..

Leeshor & Catmommy - so sorry about your little family members. I don't want to even think about the time that will be coming for my cat. She's at the middle stages of renal failure but is still doing well.

Mema, your Rainbow Bridge description is absolutely beautiful ..
