Hello guys! I'm very new to vaping. I've been off the analogs for 2 weeks. I joined this forum very recently and this is my first thread.. :)

I was looking at the ''Pictures of your set up part 2'' thread and I see so many different metallic looking mods. I mean, nothing compared to my Joytech Evic with Aspire nautilus tank on. In a way I feel being left behind lol

I've been looking to upgrade now that I can afford to. There are so many set ups you can build out there! I was living in a world where Provari is best and there's cheap on the other hand. But I see this is not as a narrow as I thought.

What are those mods with asian symbols and what not ? I like em. Recommend me some pls

I'm pretty new to vaping as well, but with so many different mods out there and so many different styles...the possibilities are endless. I think the best advice or recommendation you can receive is to search online and go to your local B&M and get a little "hands on" time.

I just bought a Vamo which I like, but while I was the shop I also checked out a bunch of different mods, different styles. Innokin makes nice mods. I also liked the, and I'm going to butcher the spelling here, Bagua? and Seigeli? mods.

Good luck. :)

Ahhhh a fellow Utahn! Welcome to the ECF forum! There's too many mods out there. I've been wanting to upgrade myself and I end up changing my mind every time I choose one hahaha. I'm going the route of mechanicals pretty soon here, as I've been rebuilding for a little over a month.

Make sure you read up on battery safety and get a vape safe fuse when starting, for safety of course! :)

Provari are still some of the best, but it's all preference in the vape world.

BEWARE THE SHINYITIS!

Mechanical mods are pretty great I love the aesthetics of a nice mech and there's always the kick option if you want to keep the variable wattage aspect there. I'm still fairly new to building coils but thanks to ECF and several youtube channels I did a lot of research first and haven't had much trouble. I'm much happier in the mechs/rebuildables world than anywhere else.

Please do more research. Battery safety isn't stressed as much with variable voltage devices as much due to the possibility of having super low resistances.. even if you don't switch to mechanicals, you need to have a decent knowledge in battery ratings.

If you do make the switch, you don't need to use deciohm coils.. plus, you don't need a mechanical for rebuildable atomizers either. People get that in their head for some reason. Shops also like to tell people that's the case..

Know your batteries, and even though a 100% efficient electrical circuit isn't possible with today's technology, always get your current needs from a fully charged battery without voltage drop(4.2Volts). From that, I suggest something with extension tubes, like nemesis.

4.2Volts÷Resistance=Current

Oh my goodness how dare you :p Everyone has stuff they prefer. I am liking the posts about battery safety :) It's an important thing to know especially for mechanical mods. Kind of surprises me that no one really brings up the silver bullet. That's a proven work horse as far as mech mods.
Original Poster: Be glad you have that Evic that's a nice prize to start with, but knowing there's more to look forward to is always nice :vapor:
