I'm glad this experience led you to find a much more helpful and friendlier shop. :) of the three B&M's I've been to, 2 had builders that douchey attitudes. The third and best CS in my opinion was actually a smoke shop with a small vape section. Though they did have an excellent, friendly, and knowledgable builder for their vape customers.

I'm seeing that around here..... tobacco shops are setting in some vaping stuff. It's a pretty smart move and allows them to test the market in a way. One store is just about out of the tobacco and exclusively into vaping.... super!!

One good thing about that, if the FDA deems that eliquid be treated the same as tobacco, those shops already have the licensing to sell tobacco.

I really hate to see it go down that road, but the tobacco shops have that advantage

Excellent point -- never thought about it in that light. I'd think the tobacco shops are really hurting currently with all the negative press on tobacco products. Several around me closed up for example when the restrictions on flavored cigarettes went into effect. Sort of shows how many peeps wanted those sweet ciggies.
At least the tobacco shops already have the "smoking orientation" and are prepared to chat with a customer who is looking for something different whether it be a new kind of cigar or a vaping set up.

The free market in action.
I used to smoke cigars and before I found my favorite brand at Thompson cigars website I would go to a local cigar shop. well, haven't been there in a few years and wandered into the shop when I started vaping only to realize that they have a small but nice section of vaping gear. I was shocked; huge walk in humidor, giant pipe selection and import cigarettes and now vape gear! If it sells and people buy it, the market adjusts.

Sorry to hear of your experience. I think the "button" was the shaming the clerk did. Smokers have put up with way too much of that. We sure don't need more of it especially in a vape shop. I looked at the Vape USA directory for Ohio since I didn't see a negative review on the sub-forum... pretty sure where you were. I was treated badly online by one that big so think it might just be a sign of changing times. I'm afraid as vaping becomes more and more popular we're no longer going to be the small community with a sense of camaraderie we've enjoyed. Please do a negative review to help other members.
