Is there an earlier thread detailing how the atomiser is attached ?

I built on Madog's tire valve. I use a valve extension (easier.) I have got it down to where there is only about 5mm of the valve used. The inside contact is brass or copper rod insulated with o rings. The whole thing, once the leads are soldered is epoxied into an acrylic tube for attatchment to the body. These are for 901s, I do the same with 801s except I use a 1/4 phone jack for the outside contact.

I'm working on a step by step. Hopefullt I will get it done soon.

i tried to use the 1/4 phone jack on my 801 atomizer and it didnt fit. is there any special way your connecting it? it just seems a little to big to screw into. Perhaps im using a different one though. Got mine from radio shack

I have noticed that the 801 threads start a little deeper than the 901s. Have you tried it without anything on the threads? (Nuts, washers etc.) These are the ones I've used successfully:

1/4" mono Panel-Mount Audio Jack (2-Pack) - RadioShack.com

The reason I asked about the nuts is the first time I made a 801 passthrough I tried to put the nut on the outside and I couldn't get the threads to catch. I ended up having to glue the phone jack in to make it work.
