it still seems pretty small =x 6 wraps of 32gauge is a very shortttttt coil. triple twist that 32g! i cant imagine how little liquid that coil can hold at a time.
Can't vape at 0.5 no matter what setting. Tried adjusting wattage, airflow...wasn't happening. The 1.2 OCC was fine. Perfect, actually. Used that for two days and it crapped out. No one in town had the 1.2 OCC coils...just the 0.5. The smoke shop had a roll of Kanthal he would sell me for $17.00. No thanks. The vape shop is a distance away and I wasn't going there just for a coil. So...long story longer...I had a short piece of 32g Kanthal. I made a coil....a 2.4 ohm coil. I installed it on the build deck, wicked it up, primed it, fired it up...and it vaped like a champ. Warm vape, good flavor, and good vapor production. Improvise, adapt, and overcome.
yeah a 0.5ohm coil on a 30w is kind of poop. how long was that roll of kanthal for 17$? thats like the cost of 250ft of kanthal online.

I have the subtank mini and usually do 26g kanthal 5-6 wraps. .6ohms typically. I vape a pretty low wattage of 19w-22w.

Next up: 28g Kanthal A1 wire. Going to make two coils; 1.20 - 9 wraps - 2mm ID and a 1.50 - 10 wraps - 1.59mm ID.
