i use kanthal 28 3mm id 7-8 "wraps" 1.5-1.7 ohms
you can try a bigger ID 2.5mm or 3 mm

Congrats OP on your first coil build.
I have the subtank mini and usually do 26g kanthal 5-6 wraps. .6ohms typically. I vape a pretty low wattage of 19w-22w.

Okay...settled in at a 1.2 ohm coil...28g Kanthal, 6 wraps, 3mm id, wicked with organic cotton, 12mg/ml juice, 10 watts. For me...just right.

10w would be a little low for me, but everyone has their sweet spot.

Rebuilt my first Kanger OCC coil today. 28g Kanthal, 5 wraps, 3mm, 1.4 (shooting for 1.2) ohms, organic cotton wick. Haven't fired it up yet, but it looks good. This is one of the top reasons I bought the Kanger Subtank Mini....rebuilding coils.
