i would like to thank everybody here. if it wasnt for all your stories and support i could not say this is day 100 for me. the last 4 are without nicotine completely. :D

keep on vaping:)

Congratulations! Some day I hope I'll be saying the same thing. I'm only on day 5. The first three days I had a runny nose. I've had chronic ear infections for two years. Today I noticed the infections are almost gone in both ears. I never even thought of the toxins in cigs contributing to the problem w/my ears.

Wow.... no nic after 100 days? Maybe we can learn something from you. Did you reduce your nic level gradually?

to answer the question yes it was gradual. but i didnt start reducing untill i was set with equipment.

i was a VERY heavy smoker. i didnt smoke cigarettes, i smoked little cigars, Muriell sweets little cigars.
i smoked them because they tasted better than regular analogs. and they were CHEAP. i was paying 25.99 for 2 cartons.(I'll let you do the math for comparisons sake). and you know, i have no idea how much nic they had.

my grandson gave me my first e-cig for Christmas. a little blu-type.
i charged it up and puffed on it the entire way home(3 hour drive). all i could think was if i am going to attempt to quit i need more than one. one in the hand, one on the charger. just to make a serious attempt.

not knowing any better i went to the mall and got a second one. and various other equipment, case, usb charger, and the most expensive e-juice(60$ for 30ml) i have purchased to date. and all i know about the nic level for it was that it was "high". there were no other labels. the first few weeks were shaky at best. i bought a pack of my analogs to help when i got too frustrated.

and then i found e-cigarette-forum.com. and a whole new world came into view. kind-of like when Dorothy steps out of her house into the land of OZ. (dramatic music starts). and here is where i learned everything else that i didnt know already. I did my research, and purchased "real" equipment. i got a kr808 from V4L and 3 36mg 30ml juice from china (8$ each btw).

i was finally in a good place. what i mean is i was able to quell the addiction side of all this. and i found tasty vapor, i bought 24 mg juice. a couple of bottles later i got a doubler of AC and mixed that 50/50 with the juice from china. not to complain but the juice from china had absolutely ZERO flavor, and the AC fixed that(18mg).

after a time i got 24mg and doubler together to cut to 12mg. then i would fill my carts with the 12mg, and when i topped off those carts i used the 0 nic doubler. did the 12mg/0mg top-off for a couple of weeks. now i am filling all my carts with 0mg nic.

now in all of this there was many aspects that i am not mentioning, a quest for a decent flavor tops the list of these. but this is how i got to zero nic.

i truly hope this story will help others.

Excellent journey with a great story for all. Will have to try this in the evening by lowering the nic level first and purchasing some zero nic.

Thanks for sharing!

I wish you all the best, as stated before, to do this in 100 days is quite gutsy, to say the least.
Any lasting or apparent panic after the '0' nic, or no....I've cut my juice three times, from 24mg to 12mg, and can say there was no effects at all. Zero.
Just not sure I want to go to 0, I seem to think better and maintain an even keep with some nic, even a low amount. (I have ADD, and do believe that's why I kept smoking so long.) Very prone to the "blues".

~just a side note~

i still have bottles with nic in them. it's not out of the realm of possibilities to use a little every so often. like a drop or 2 if i get too stressed. but i get the doublers with 70% VG, and the vapor it produces is totally amazing. the vapor itself is a kind of psychological thing for me. i LOVE the vapor. smoke vapor rings and all. seeing the vapor is half the battle....for me.

Seems to be all about the vapor. I'm still not convinced it's the nicotine.
Just way too easy to quit it or cut it down, not at all as in smoking tobacco with fire!
What-ever the combo, if it works don't fix it! Great going.
