4 days from 10 months smoke free! I was in Tampa for last two days and it's amazing that I didn't see one person who smoked! Smokers truly are becoming an endangered species.8-o

CES and Rose..you are both doing great! I think the 1st month is the turning point. For most of us it's the longest we have ever gone without an analog.:D

sorry I keep missing Monday chat, I miss yall, keeping busy here with the animals and weather.. Still walking and running have logged 211 miles since December, Started P90X in Feb (love it) was the edge I needed to get back down to my goal weight.. lost 27lbs and 3% body weight.. so it's not true that you have to gain weight once you stop smoking...:)
Big hugs and everyone keep vaping....:)

Hey MaryKay, woud be nice to drop in and have coffee and get into trouble with you :)

P90X is a 90 day fitness program , everyday is a different routine for different areas.. Just starting out I took the (lean) program which is a beginner level, there are two other higher levels with different routines each for 90 days.. I don't like injury so I just took it slow modified movements where I needed to, and wow,, great program gained alot of strength in a short amount of time and that was what I was lacking was strength building. Now that I built up strength, I can push harder in the daily routines.. I like the P90X routine lay out it's well thought out.. It can be an extreme program if your at that level of fitness, but they do everything to show you how to prevent injury, modify, take breaks and go at your level and wow suprised how quickly my body got stronger each week, to push harder the next week.. And it's fun because each day is different.

two months+two weeks, but really I'm here bragging on the hubs. It's been exactly a month for him. He's been attached to cigs since he started. Couldn't be without them for more then a few hours. And he is doing amazing (TY V4l and Tasty Vapor!) AND all because he listned to ME ;) so yeah bragging on myself a little too.

Fully understand MaryKay..:) MacAuthor and Katattack to me, when you find yourself with all the negative (satistics) saying you can't change. Enough negative information that it affects how you think in what you can accomplish, before you even attempt it.. It's just wrong.. Then I come here and see people like me and yall that prove it's can be accomplished. It's always uplifting to hear how everyone is doing.:)

My husband and I are starting the p90x on Monday. Wish me luck....I will need it. On the 14th I will be smoke free for two months.....so I know I will breath better on this journey to get fit and feel better.

Excellent Trish I wish you and your husband the best !!!! Lots of people on our group injured themselves in the first week and had to drop out.. I highly recomend going at your own pace at your own level.. I was very cautious and it was short term for needing to by the 2nd and 3rd week you will be amazed how much stronger you will be to push and do a little more and more.. I even added extra pm cardio (plyometrics) 3 times a week, it's advance jump training but I modified protecting my joints barely leaving the ground,, after 3 weeks,, amazed on how much stronger my joints are and I am able to really get some height..

keep in touch let me know how yall are doing....:)
